In January, @ABDanielleSmith had no issue celebrating the Synapse hyperscale data centre. Too bad she didn't care it was going to be directly across from residents' homes, devaluing their property. When confronted last night, she gaslit residents, saying, "They didn't contact us." Maybe the UCP should consider talking to Albertans before celebrating people's home values being devalued. Turns out that's not what Albertans want.

But that's not what's happening for WestJet flight attendants, who are not paid for many of the hours they spend working on the ground. As CUPE Local 8125, representing WestJet flight attendants, continues bargaining, we hope for a swift resolution. The best agreements are reached at the bargaining table. We encourage WestJet management to return with a fair offer so a strike or lockout can be avoided and Canadians' travel plans can stay on track. We urge the federal government to respect the collective bargaining process and not put its thumb on the scales by undermining workers' rights, as it has done before. And we encourage Premier Smith and her government to stand with workers and for human rights, something they have consistently failed to do.
