Game dev with AI is great but the real bottleneck now isn't code gen. It's that no model can watch 10 seconds of gameplay and tell you the jump feels "wrong". I think humans in the loop will always have to be there for gaming, but currently even clear visual glitches are missed

Day 3 of building a snowboarding game with Fable 5🏂 Now you can run from a polar bear while doing flips. A bunch of big improvements including a new snowboard, physics and snow quality, expanded terrain all playable with an xbox one controller. All in raw Webgpu, no engine.

THIS GUY BUILT A TOOL WITH GPT-5.6 SOL THAT TAKES A PHOTO OF ANY OBJECT AND REBUILDS IT AS A 3D MODEL MADE ENTIRELY OUT OF CODE instead of modeling something by hand or scanning it, you just hand it a picture and it recreates the object as a pure code based three.js model > attach an image of any object, a ship, a car, whatever > it walks the ai through rebuilding that object as a real 3d model, written entirely in code > no 3d scanning or manual modeling, the whole thing is generated procedurally from the image > AND its open source, so you can drop it into your own projects he tested it on a detailed ship reference and it came out genuinely good for something built purely from code turning a single photo into editable 3d code is the kind of thing that used to take a modeler hours

Pipe It, the UE Pipe Plugin is finally 1.0 ready and coming out to @fab in a few weeks! It's been a fun 6 months journey taking this simple idea and transforming it into a complete tool meant to make pipes easy and fun. UX is such an unseen beast and it renewed my respect to #UX designers across the world. Here's a small video of the tool working in Unreal 5.7.4, drawing pipes like never before :D. Made an HTML based Micro-Graphic generator. Super fun. Basically set some rules (with Claude's help), added simple graphics and icons, it outputs either a PNG or an SVG. These were all created by hitting a "Lucky" button a bunch of times. & (couple of Easter eggs too). Might end up in Cargo 🤔
