I’m totally disgusted by the shootings and vandalism that took place in Toronto over the last few days, including at two Jewish-owned businesses over the weekend and near the U.S. Consulate this morning. In all cases, active police investigations are underway. I expect all those responsible to be found, prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The most important part of this story isn’t that @tobi interrupted a panel. It’s that Canada now has builders willing to break the script. We have world-class founders, scientists, investors and public leaders. Put more of them in the same room. Let them disagree. Let builders challenge talkers. Let truth outrank etiquette. More higher-bandwidth conversations with more people who have actually built, shipped and competed. Canada is not short on talent, capital or ambition. We are learning to use it. That is how countries change.
