OMG! I thought the "magic underwear" was just something taken out of context that people used to make fun or Mormons.
This ex-Mormon says it is true.
I'm lost at words. How is this biblical? How does wearing that underwear every day bring you closer to God?
Any Mormon care to chime in on here?

@Bearistotle1337 @ThoughtfulSaint But then he wouldn’t have any arguments left
English

@ThoughtfulSaint You don't mean the same thing actual Christians do. Quit being disingenuous and playing word games.

Did you know people who graduated from high school or university??? You know they literally participated in something just like this, including wearing robes and sachets, being given a degree advancement, exchanging handshakes, AND wearing a stone mason’s mortarboard as a cap. You can’t be serious! 🤦🏻♂️

@CopperMomAZ @MostlyPeaceful Weird I don’t see anything about the Second Annointing or suicide oaths on the LDS website. The LDS missionaries don’t even know about the rock and the hat
English

We have 80,000 missionaries worldwide that are ready to teach doctrine to people in good faith. We give out Books of Mormon for free. We have visitor centers all over the world. Our doctrine is all online. If you want answers, there are available. We just are not interested in hateful people who just want to hate instead of seeking clarity of our beliefs.
Meanwhile, “mainstream” Protestants have women pastors, gay marriages, 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈, “God is non-binary”, total freak show sermons like the Dana lady who advises the Trump admin, the prosperity gospel $ scammers, and no claim to the line of priesthood authority as you buy the priesthood by going to school for it. You don’t even AGREE with EACH OTHER on doctrine and cloak your “we’re all Christian” on a creed from 1400 years old council of politicians and philosophers and not just the belief that Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of Humanity. Then, you attack Mormons while NEVER doing any missionary work while you believe we are going hell.

@McJuggerNuggets You are so fucking calculated, narcissistic, and sociopathic. Not to mention a murderer

My wife's heart has been shattered since the amniocentesis results (which are definitive btw), yet it has only gotten worse.
These last couple weeks have been the hardest of her life...it's times like these where you want to be able to depend on your family for love and support.
This video is from the evening after the procedure.
My parents drop off an extremely thoughtful gift basket and show unconditional love and support...meanwhile, her family has been nowhere to be found. Some even going as far as joining in on the bandwagon hate PUBLICLY, kicking her while she's down at her lowest point.
She has received text messages from her family accusing me of abuse and that I'm brainwashing her...issuing ultimatums that she needs to LEAVE ME IMMEDIATELY. Audacious shit that will have your head-spinning because of the delusion and lack of consideration.
Downright disgusting gossip and shit-talking amongst important people in her life as if she's not even blood. No backbone, just cowardice as they accuse me of making the decision and controlling/manipulating her over all the years of being together.
We've put up with a lot of shit, but when it's your own family exercising their bitterness and turning their backs when it matters the most, it really reveals everything about their character.
Hell, I've even seen the worst of "friends" publicly joining in on the crusade despite full-well knowing that behind closed doors, they would've made the same decision.
I don't relish in sharing these things because it only furthers a divide, but when you're MIA, complicit and offensive during the hardest times of our life then you will never deserve to be there when it's good.
My wife is the sweetest and strongest woman I know, the last thing she deserves is to be treated this way.
My heart goes out to all of the women who have had to keep their abortions private for fear of judgment from friends/family, it's the last thing you should be dealing with when you're already confronting the hardest/worst of times.
This is the sad reality. It's why I will continue to speak out. It's why sharing is better than hiding. The truth may be hard, but at least you're living freely. Do NOT ever let the opinions of others define your life or else you will be living a life that's not YOURS. ❤️

@TravelbytheCoin @EricRSammons Ok, so prove it. Admit that until 1990 the endowment ceremony included suicide oaths.
English

@EricRSammons Just because you are ignorant of them doesn't mean we're "hiding" anything. It just means you're ignorant.

When I talked with some very sweet LDS missionary gals last spring this same process came up when I asked them about their testimonies.
The problem is that you’re asked to believe based on a subjective feeling after praying, not to test it against Scripture to see if it’s objectively true.
The problem with something like the Book of Mormon is that’s it’s used to interpret Scripture, so when there are contradictions they default to believing what the Book of Mormon says *over* what Scripture teaches.
My urgent-but-gentle challenge to these girls was that when the Bible and the Book of Mormon contradict each other both cannot be true (I pointed out a specific example of where the teachings differ). And I encouraged them to really read and consider what Scripture says.
I read this passage to them:
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.”
Galatians 1:6-9
I told them that my greatest desire for all of us is that we would believe what is true, and reminded them that God wanted that for all of us.
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee
Read the Book of Mormon. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking sincerely to know whether it’s true (the final chapter provides specific guidance on this point). Then tell me whether Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Will you accept that challenge?

@EvidenceOfFaith @TribeRuffner Here is a video explaining. My grandparents had to do this youtu.be/5FEqsXuOswM?si…

You guys are some of the dumbest people in the world to not consider that I’ve been sitting on Charlie’s Aspen video for the last 7 months. I am light years ahead of you toothless cogs who deserve nothing but the resentment you have earned from the entire world.
Since you are now shamelessly attempting to use an out of context text from 2021 to pretend that Charlie wanted to change the event from the YOUNG Women’s Leadership conference to a BoomerCon NagFest, here is the relevant portion from his Aspen donor event, (captured just 3 weeks before he died) where he carefully laid out his vision for the organization for over 2 hours. Please note Charlie’s explanation that the past and future vision was for YOUNG women to gather at YWLS.
…But I’m sure he changed his mind a week later, right?

She still won’t acknowledge this and retract her statement. This “pursuit for truth” has so many detours!

Can we see the Ark of the Covenant?
Can we see the stone tablets Moses brought down from Sinai?
Can we see the original manuscripts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John?
Can we see the cross Jesus was crucified on?
Can we see the empty tomb?
Can we see the resurrected Christ?
Can we see the miracles He performed?
Can we see the Garden of Eden?
Can we see Noah's Ark?
Can we see the burning bush?
Can we see the rod of Aaron that budded?
Can we see the manna preserved from the wilderness?
Can we see the angel Gabriel?
Can we see the Mount of Transfiguration event?
Can we see Pentecost?
Yet Christians accept all of those things based on witness testimony and faith.
The irony is that the Book of Mormon actually has more direct witnesses than many biblical events. Eleven men publicly testified they saw or handled the plates, and several maintained that testimony even after leaving Joseph Smith and the Church.
The question isn't whether you can see the plates today. The question is whether the witnesses were telling the truth.

I’ll be Mormon memeing until theology improves

@TravLCox @H8lyHandGrenade Because narrow is the path, and Mormonism widens it with 3 levels of heaven.
