@robertgraham Deleted my old comment because you are correct. The EVVL 7 Pro 5G is wrong phone, its a HTC U24 Pro, which retails for about $500 so inline with the expected price of the phone.

Fact-checking fact-checkers. There is no evidence this phone is the "EVVL 7 Pro 5G". People just asked the AI, stuck it on the community notes, and everyone believes it because they hate Trump. It's almost certainly something equally cheap and bad, but look at the damn screenshots -- it's not the same phone. The EVVL7 Pro has 4 cameras, the Trump T-1 has 3.

I rarely eat out. Maybe once a month. Went yesterday to a restaurant (Italian, Mediterranean) in West Seattle for Mother’s Day last night. Total for 5 of us ( we don’t drink alcohol) with one salad, humus and 3 vegetarian pastas was $97 The check said 3.5% surcharge for credit card. Then 17% service fee, mandatory. Then tips were 20% 22% and 25% optional. I asked if I could pay in cash. No. They don’t take cash. Then how can I avoid the credit card fee I asked. You can’t. So I asked why the service charge. It pays for the employees they said. Then why the tip I asked. It pays for front office staff I don’t get it.

We are in deep, deep trouble. A reader wrote in to me this week saying that they wouldn't read my Trump corruption story because ChatGPT "fact-checked the piece" and informed them most of it was false. Among other things, ChatGPT told them that there is no Iran war, Jared Kushner is not a negotiator in the war, Qatar never offered Trump a $400 million plane, George Santos wasn't pardoned, the NYTimes did not report on Syrian billionaires lobbying Trump for sanctions relief, Trump never launched a meme coin, and World Liberty Financial (the Trump family crypto firm) doesn't exist. Of course, all of these things ARE real, do exist, and are happening right now. Apparently, the reader copy and pasted the text of my story into ChatGPT, and without the links ChatGPT couldn't confirm any of it. Once the reader sent ChatGPT the link to the story, it ended up concluding all the facts were correct. How many people simply don't know how to use AI and are offloading all their thinking? It's a terrifying thought. And a totally new frontier of reality to navigate.

@robertgraham Crude Oil was the same price it is today as it was in May of 2022. Did we bomb Iran then too?

The president can do almost nothing to change the price of gasoline. Even releasing a lot of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve will not change the price of gasoline much. However, bombing Iran is indeed one of those things that a President can do to change the price of gasoline.
Daniel Turner@DanielTurnerPTF

In 2021, Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said, “The president does not control the price of gasoline.” What changed?

Gen Z doesn't want to come into the office. CORRECT. No one wants to commute 90 minutes round trip, pay $18 to park, buy a lunch they can't expense, sit under fluorescent lights for 9 hours performing productivity, then be told the problem with young people is they don't understand sacrifice. Keep going. You're almost at the real sentence.

Search is full of ads and wrong answers. Every other email is an ad. Prime Video charges you and shows ads. Paramount? Ads. Peacock? YouTube? Hulu? Ads followed by more ads. Netflix full of ads. Meta and X, every other thing is an ad. Pinterest is nothing but ads. AI is in everything. AI finishes sentences incorrectly and won’t stop. AI reads your email and search history to target you with more ads. Every time you open an app or visit a site there’s an update making it worse. In a hurry? First, click here to agree to terms you don’t have time to read and must accept. You need an account to do that. Change your temporary password. Enter your 2FA code. Check your email and enter that code. Now use a passkey. Your password is too simple to remember. Change it. No, not like that. Now log on. Enter your 2FA code. Check your email for a code… Welcome back! We’ve updated our terms of service and privacy policy (you have none). Subscribe to the site. Subscribe to Netflix. Subscribe to toilet paper. Subscribe to these groceries. Pay a membership fee for the right to subscribe then tip your driver who delivers the subscriptions your membership lets you subscribe to. Time to work? We’ve got to update your laptop and will slow down everything you do until you agree to update. But first, click here to agree. Update installed — your laptop’s broken now. It doesn’t matter, since your boss just replaced you with AI. Go to your phone to complain on social media. Wait, your phone needs an update so we can add more AI. Click here. Oh sorry, your phone can’t handle this update. Now it’s useless. Go get the newest phone. Here’s a text from a friend, an email, a voice mail they left three days ago but you didn’t see until now because of sync problems with the cloud. It’s their GoFundMe. Their MLM. Their Patreon. Never mind, you didn’t respond to their text within 9 minutes and now you’re no longer friends. They blocked you. Make new friends. Download this app to find people in your area. In your neighborhood. On your street. Two doors down from you. Do you know this person yet, we think you’d get along. You need an account to use this app. That username is taken. Enter a password. Not that one, you used it on another site. You need to be connected to WiFi to download the app. Allow the app to connect to other devices on your network. Allow the app to access your contacts, know your precise location, store your credit card details. Oops, sorry, we got hacked now all that info is available on the web. There’s a class action suit. You can join. It’ll take a decade to get your $3.73 share of the ten billion settlement. We’ll send it via PayPal or deposit it to your bank, just tell us those details. Oh no, another hack. That info is circulating now, too. Here’s a spam call, a spam email, a spam text. Why are you angry? Why are you talking about getting rid of your phone? Why don’t you like AI, it lets us make all of this easier? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds? This is progress. You’ll be left behind. Do you want to be left behind? Do you???

….A Twitter account that with no followers, named “Henry Martinez” has one post from 2023 that has the name of the shooter. It has no other posts. While likely unrelated, it is sure weird as hell, and yet another oddity that won’t help conspiracy theories. Most times if you find a name posted on Twitter it won’t be the only post and just the name by itself…

Here is the thing that bugs me on this. What Director Patel did in college is really just college kids being dumb college kids (PI and Public Urination). I do not think it hurts who he is today. Nothing major. BUT, DHS took harsh action against F-1 students who had similar arrests because they were "criminals" (even when dismissed or no charges filed) yet Director Patel gets to lead the FBI.

President Zelensky: The United States produces about 60, maybe 65, anti-ballistic missiles per month. That is nothing. On the first day of the Iran war, the equivalent of two years of that production was used in 24 hours. We need our European independent strong system, and we will build it.

@EdKrassen What Iran is doing is trying to call the Americans bluff on the blockade. They are trying holding the entire world’s economy hostage by threatening waters that they don’t own because they have no way to fight against this blockade. Their economy is sinking fast. They’re fucked

This just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. Late last week Trump claimed that the Strait of Hormuz was open for good. Then Iran claimed that they closed the Strait of Hormuz and it's not open. And now Trump is claiming that Iran didn't close the Strait, but the US military did. Do Trump supporters not see right through this craziness?
