@DailyMonitor @KagutaMuseveni Crazy how we (Africans) think Europeans dont like us while its us who beat each other to death , plunder from each other. I didnt see a Cypriot beating a ugandan in the past elections . It was Mukiibi. We are the cause of our own failure. We cant even choose a national language

I joined @TheWorld's @MarcoWerman to discuss why leaders who cling to power at the expense of their people remain one of the world's greatest threats, and why Uganda’s struggle for freedom deserves urgent global attention. Kindly listen to the interview here:

If you told someone back in 2006 that one day a DSTV decoder would cost just UGX 15,000 they'd probably beat you up and accuse you of being crazy.

Many horrific things that happen in Uganda can be seen coming. But they often have to first happen, and authorities come out as if they’re purely accidents. ~ A glaring hole on the road will be ignored, hitting cars everyday, until it causes a terrible accident, then it is immediately filled as if it has just been discovered! Meanwhile, other huge potholes nearby are still ignored. Someone is waiting for a huge budget, or a shock. ~ Predatory practices will go on in schools, exploiting parents in development fees, inflated trip fees that motivate schools to organise regular pointless trips, exaggerated material demands, unregulated school fees increments, etc. Corporal punishment will continue in schools. The concerned ministry will look on. Until someone’s sick child is caned to death! Then they start issuing statements and new half-thought directives, which they soon ignore (after the public has gone quiet). ~ Corruption by traffic officers will be officially known and tolerated. Traffic officers will let DMCs operate and endanger passengers and other road users, for as long as they can bribe. They’ll overspeed and overload. Until a terrible accident happens and, acting like they’re shocked it happened, they come out with new performative traffic operations - which they soon abandon, back to normal corruption. ~ Torture of political opponents will go on unabated. We will even find good vocabulary to justify or ignore it. The judiciary will join the torturers. Until a prominent person dies in their hands - then we will come out like visitors who never expected it to happen. We will act very shocked and concerned, including the boneheads that were cheering - all shaking their wasted heads. Yet, when there is no major shock amidst the same things brewing everyday, we operate as if all is normal. We will, instead, persecute those who speak about the glaring signs. We will present them as the problem - defamation, agents of imperialists and homosexuals, hooligans, etc. Waiting for another moment to pretend to be shocked and sad, when disaster strikes from the very things they’re persecuted for speaking about. Many of the disasters and ‘shocks’ we witness are nothing but outcomes of what we have allowed to die in our time. It is not only government though, but also many of us individuals that have either chosen silence, benefitting from the mess, and abdicating our individual responsibilities for a better society. And, in this direction, it needs no doomsayer to tell that much worse is yet to happen. Until we choose to sober up and build a sensible country that makes all of us safe and proud. No one is safe in a broken country. May the little innocent souls rest in peace, and may the broken parents find consolation in this very difficult time.

YOU ARE BEING DELIBERATELY BLINDFOLDED BY CHEAP CABINET CAMERA PR STUNTS! Look at the real metrics: A UPE school with 600 pupils gets a microscopic UGX 20,000 per child annually from the state. That equals a flat UGX 1,000,000 a month to run an entire primary school! Out of that 1 million, the headteacher must buy chalk, registers, print exams, pay Umeme, and empty full pit latrines. The Education Act makes extra fees illegal, but the state funding makes school closure inevitable if they don't look for survival money. @BalaamBarugahar, you burn more than 1 million Shillings in premium fuel on a single afternoon V8 convoy trip to Namisindwa, how do you look a desperate headteacher in the eye and handcuff them for trying to keep the school from collapsing?

I know it might be late but here is my submission on the ongoing school trips that are turning into tragedy. In 2010 , we went for a trip to Kapchorwa and the residents said that the steep road needed only experienced drivers and that a lot of accidents had happened over the years. A driver had to know much about mountainous areas to drive successfully through the road that led to Sipi falls. A lot of schools rent who is available or those who think that they know and are experts ,while putting at risk the lives of people's children. Lastly , schools invented trips as a way of milking more money out of parents. We studied about the Canadian prairies, Forestry in British Columbia ,name it ,and passed yet we never went there!

Most born again Christians are people who were once thieves ,drug addicts, fraudsters, prostitutes ,name it ,and some of them still do them under the guise of being changed. All my life, I have never heard that Bobiwine has ever stolen from anyone, I've never heard that he has ever bought a prostitute, never heard that he has ever sexually exploited the women or children around him ,I've never heard anyone claim that they worked for Bobiwine and he never paid them , yet lots of Balokole pastors continue to use him as a bad example on their pulpits. The Bible teaches us not to judge one another ,yet you continue to throw stones at Bobiwine just for the ka weed he smoked. The Bible teaches us to love our neighbors yet you guys have that visible hate and anger towards Kyagulanyi! What Bible do you fools read? You can teach the word of God and still be relevant without telling us your shit.

😒😒naye mwana these guyz give me headache with their kind of response. People wanted emergency chopper to airlift the children to better medical emergency care the same way @BaryomunsiChris the current Minister of health was airlifted from his own constituency to the capital city to get first aid. Children took hours dying slowly and painfully as we all watched and waited🤦🏾
UBC UGANDA@ubctvuganda

The immediate intervention is as follows: As earlier communicated, all study tours and educational trips involving learners who travel in groups, both within Uganda and outside the country, are hereby suspended until further notice. ~ Hon. @JCMuyingo
