@CSalcedoShow No. Rs will lose because they’ve proven they care more for Israel, trumps feelings, corporate interests and the rich than they do real Texans.
English

If TEXAS flips, it won't be because Democrats became Americans again. It won't be because Texans turned communist. It will be because voters got tired of voting for a Republican Party that cares more about pleasing Marxists in the Dem Party than keeping faith with GOP voters!

🚨Republicans could lose the Texas House to Democrats in 2026.

@larrynstafford I see we’re 0 for 3 in offering an actual explanation so far. I don’t think you’re gonna get anything resembling a reasonable answer. Likely because no one has one.

ECONOMICS FACT CHECK:
-8 of the 10 poorest states in the US are controlled by Republicans.
-10 of the last 11 recessions
started under Republican Presidents.
-The only 3 Presidents to lower the deficit in the last 50 years were all Dems:
Clinton, Obama, Biden.
-6 out of 7 Presidents with the highest job creation rates since 1945 were Democrats.
-GDP growth under Republican Presidents averages just 2.5% but a whopping
4.3% under Democrats.
REPUBLICAN TRICKLE DOWN
HURTS THE ECONOMY

Turkish top NBA analyst Kaan Kural on Rockets's struggles:
- Why hasn’t Udoka been using Sheppard since the start of the season? Because he is one of the most obsessive guys out there. He sees the defensive problems Sheppard creates and gets furious. It doesn't work like that. You have to stay calm and look at the total impact. Some players might make egregious mistakes, but if they are a net positive overall, you have to use them.
- We talk about Alperen all the time. It’s impossible to understand why he’s being used as a finisher instead of a facilitator. It’s been this way for years. They found the right formula in his second year, but after that, they pulled him out of the primary action.
- The biggest problem with Houston is Amen Thompson. His usage explains everything that is wrong with this team. Amen is in great shape, but he is being used incorrectly.
- Durant has the second highest minutes in the entire NBA this season. If you wear down a 38 year old player like this—making him bring up the ball and exhausting him under pressure all game—he’s going to make ridiculous turnovers, and his energy will crater by the end of the game. That’s how you get stuck.
- Did Fred VanVleet get hurt yesterday? They didn’t make a single move at the end of the summer or during the trade deadline.
- Udoka’s negative energy has completely permeated the team. You can’t give a team that much negative energy. Some coaches are just tougher. Udoka is at the far end of that spectrum. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that; it has its share of disadvantages and advantages. The pinnacle of this coaching style is Obradovic. Have you ever seen Obradovic blame his players even once? That’s the real problem. Look at the comments Udoka made after the Minnesota game. Wouldn’t people ask the guy, 'What exactly is your job then?' He said they were 'unprepared.' Well, who is supposed to prepare the team? In that case, don't even show up—let the team prepare themselves.
- The thing that bothers me most about Houston is the transition defense. They are losing track of guys in transition on par with Sacramento."

@Beanie13072 I know people shit on AAU. But I coached for a few years and this was extremely obvious. The teams that liked each other and played with the same rosters every year consistently beat the teams that recruited studs and threw them together. NBA is different, I know. Just what I saw
English

Kendrick Perkins was correct. He seldom is but the front office traded their friend in Jalen Green. They traded Dillon who they liked and brought a mercenary because the coach was infatuated with KD. They killed team chemistry. I know a lot of you hated Green but you don’t replace chemistry and friendship. Congratulations you need ass podcasts and causal haters you got what you fucking wanted

Speaking about the deep contradictions in human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said:
“Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about the relatives still in their lives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have a partner often fail to appreciate them. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the full complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one.
The key to happiness is gratitude—to truly see and value what we already have, and to understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what we take for granted.”

@mrios281 I’ve lived in both cities. Nashville is really nice. But a far cry from Houston in almost every way. Houston is one of the greatest cities in the US. If not the greatest. If u don’t agree, u either haven’t been everywhere or ur likely just a closet racist that hates diversity
English

Houston has one of the most culturally diverse populations, one of the best food scenes, nasa and best medical centers in the county. What exactly is Nashville known for besides country music?
Josh Pate@JoshPateCFB
Nashville dunks on Houston even if Broadway doesn’t exist. This is known.

@GoodTunesAlways Add Charlie Crockett to the top of this list and you’ve got the definitive list!!!

The @Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, is out with a major new research study showing that immigrants, both legal and illegal, contribute significantly more in taxes than they receive in public benefits.
And there's more: because immigrants (both legal and not) are such large net-contributors of tax revenue, they also structurally reduce government budget deficits.

In my peak as a college football player I was squatting 675, I went on to have multiple knees injuries and now in my mid 30s I prefer the leg press because it’s easier on my joints.. but according to a mf named toylan on twitter I’m “stroking my ego” 😂.
toylan@toylan20
The leg press in the gym is just an invitation for weak men to stroke their ego. Can’t squat 125 lbs, but somehow you’re loading 10 plates on the leg press.

@WarMachineRR Based on our country’s current state, maybe we need someone more “ radical”. Wasn’t Jesus considered a “radical”???
English

SUPERCUT: Some of Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico's most radical views:
“You can't call yourself a Christian and destroy God's creation with greenhouse gases.”
“I love ... the trans children.”
“No need to sit and cry over your whiteness or your masculinity. Use it to do something.”
“The American flag is such a complicated symbol for most of us.”
“For me, prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness, my own masculinity…”
