If you are new to building AI agents (want to learn)
Highly recommend just going into ChatGPT today and making a simple one for yourself or your business that you can just put into a slack channel.
If you have every single call recording that your CSR has ever taken/handled @gowithquo offers this
I would make a sales objection handling agent based off of all those calls and messages.
And then you could have your CSRs just talk to the agent on how to handle simple objections. If you want to get even crazier, you can have automatic responses, but to start simple, you should do this.

@AlexLathery It’ll take time for people to get comfortable with AI because most either fear it or misunderstand it. Use all the AI you want behind the scenes, just don’t lead with it. Focus on the result and that’s what people actually care about.

This is a lesson I keep relearning… and it came from my wife.
In our painting business, one of the things we do is show mockups of different paint colors on a home so people can visualize it before committing.
Last year, I went all in marketing it as an “AI mockup.”
Thought it was a great angle.
My wife kept saying:
“People don’t like AI. Stop saying AI.”
I didn’t really buy it at first. But I listened anyway and started asking around.
She was right.
Most people don’t care how the sausage is made.
They just want to see what their house is going to look like.
And there’s something about calling it “AI” that actually creates a bit of resistance.
That was the part I missed.
AI is positioned as a tool for people to not need help.
So when you try to sell something as “AI-powered,” you’re sometimes making your own offer harder to justify.
Especially with local service customers who already don’t care about tech, CRMs, or any of that.
They just want the result.

The irony is there are really only two types of SMB owners: 1. Hates AI and would not entertain this for a second 2. Already doing all of this themselves and thinks $3k/month is a complete joke

@irentdumpsters We get 434 monthly organic visits to our Nextdoor business page, as we have been consistently posting and receiving reviews from our clients.
English

More than anything, the review velocity matters so much because every platform tends to randomly delete reviews, so when the flow of reviews is perennial, no matter how many reviews they remove, one stands to outrank other businesses, and even the platforms will be convinced that these are real reviews. Also, small business owners forget to take reviews from other platforms like BBB, NextDoor, or Facebook. So when reviews are posted across all platforms, they create a combined impact.

@rustybrick @JohnMu SEO is like worshipping God; the people who work in SEO, like the priests, just try to pass on the message from the public to "Google," so technically no one knows anything and everyone is just guessing by the results.

@noahiglerSEO Absolutely and thank you posting such helpful updates

@dominikmuggli @AnkerOfficial Yeah, I mean, phone batteries have improved to a great extent.
English

@jit_sark26 @AnkerOfficial I also have a couple of those. A big/fast-charging one, and a MagSafe type.
Hardly ever use them anymore.
English

Who can recommend a solid Google ads guy who does not charge $5k+ monthly?
Have a small brand that is netting $10k/mo currently running mostly Google need to plug someone into the G ads account to try scale it up.
They have just been running on autopilot the ads for ages with nobody touching them.
English

@drgurner Just move fast and let things break and rebuild it again with the lesson learned, there has never been any perfection.
English

@irentdumpsters How come he has the audacity to use the word "scam" without you even taking a dime or even choosing to work with him? Such a pain in the neck, just ban him right away and never work with him, Bodhi.

Running meta ads is a lot of fun
You get to disqualify bad customers like this
@JayMatthiesen appreciate it

English

@stevehunsaker1 There is a small addition to this: when a lead is generated by lead-generation platforms, the follow-up must be limited, as it would aggravate the customer and invite a bad review. SEO leads are the best for such follow-ups because in SEO, one has control over the lead.

Thank you, @drgurner, and here is my take from the article in Forbes:
People romanticize discipline.
But discipline maintains. Obsession creates.
That’s why American founders still dominate the scoreboard. They’re better at going all in, better at selling the dream, and better at staying obsessed long after everyone else gets practical.
Most people want stability.
Founders who change the world want obsession.
