On June 13, I was in Chicago to accept the Master of the National Lipid Association designation (MNLA). This is the pinnacle of my career as an Internist/Lipidologist and the surely the professional highlight of my life. Below I am on the stage with the other new MNLA, and my friend Christie Ballantyne (one of the all-time top lipidologists). I have worked long and hard by treating patients in my NJ practice for 37 years, working onsite with top clinical chemists in lipid biomarker labs for 7 years, traveling & teaching lipids to clinicians in all 50 states and other countries, and thereafter as a specialist in an exclusive national practice (Early Medical). Virtually, I have more recently emerged as an immense social media presence on lipid science (>100 K followers on X) and numerous my podcasts. To top the incredible day off, to celebrate my 80th year, several hundred colleagues sang "Happy Birthday" to me. I owe the @nationallipid so much. @society_eas @ASPCardio @FamilyHeartFdn
