The BYU Central Campus UVX stop opened today. This new stop closes a service gap along 900 East and strengthens our transit network as we continue working to make it quicker, easier and more affordable for people to get around. It’s another step toward reducing traffic, easing parking challenges and giving residents more transportation options.

@rachelle_morris @IGoBySteve @Dalrymple With how popular the @utahcityutah tree lighting was, I’m hopeful we’ll see more from them in the future

What we really need are more holiday markets across the Wasatch Front so that Christkindlmarkt isn’t the only festive gig on the first Saturday of December. There is clearly demand. We’ll be working on what we can do up at This Is The Place, and I may ping you over the coming months for input, if that’s alright.

Yearly reminder that it’s insane SLC’s biggest Christmas market is in a place with poor transit and terrible parking, while there is almost no holiday programming downtown (where there is great transit and endless parking).

Gallivan Center and Washington Square should play a much larger role in attracting families to the center of SLC than they do today. Have a good night.

What a monumental day for Vineyard City! The long awaited arrival of a grocery store is finally here and Bella’s Market will be an incredible asset to the community. A win all around for resident convenience, nearby jobs and local sales tax. Great work, Mayor Fullmer and the Vineyard team!

This morning, I described how blessed it is to be a peacemaker and how peacemaking begins in the most basic place: in our hearts, then in homes and families.
As we practice there, peacemaking will spread into our neighborhoods and communities.
Peacemakers are sometimes labeled naive or weak from all sides. Yet, to be a peacemaker is not to be weak, but to be strong in a way the world may not understand.

@jodanc10 That train is delayed by just a few minutes; it should be there very soon.
English

#FrontRunner Alert 6:05 PM: Expect southbound delays of 15 to 20 minutes from Vineyard to Provo due to a crossing protection.
English

@RideUTA Is there not a southbound 6:59 train in Vineyard now?
English

#FrontRunner Final Alert 6:40 PM: Expect residual delays of up to 10 minutes as trains resume their regular schedules.

@chipperwhatcott @bikelakecity Going through the apartments is definitely the route I go

@bikelakecity @jodanc10 A block to Geneva, then like a mile or less to the temple. Have to pass through a packed intersection though.
It’s super close, but unless they’ve added a trail, not a very bike friendly road.
You could cut through apt complexes to make it safer though.

I’ve been wondering about bike-accessible temples. Draper is up there with Blue Line/Corner Canyon. And of course downtown is downtown. What others make the list? #slc

Going in front of the planning commission tonight to seek approval for these owner-occupied townhomes. Wish us luck! @JamesAlfandre

all these liberals and their airplanes. Trump should build a cross country high speed bullet train with all those Doge savings. It would own the libs so hard. He could call it the "Trump Train" or "America First Express" or "Doge'd a Bullet Train"

June 22, 2025, was the busiest travel day in United States history.

Michael has an excellent thread on a great 2007 Berlin building that participates in a courtyard block. I want to emphasize a few things:

🇩🇪 WHAT FEW HAVE: While we may think that the evolution of new classicism goes slow, looking back one can see that in reality it goes really fast. Projects from the years 2000-2010 are vastly different to projects from the following decade. 🧵

@SkylerBeltran can you take some time to read this? I think Utah County could be the top of this list in the future (currently 21st), and we could quickly make improvements by working to reduce land-transport fatalities

@joeyontheair_ Could the valley support that many people though? That's a lot of water.

@olymasic I 100% believe Orem should rezone all the industrial stuff west of I-15 into as high density as they can muster. NIMBY’s in Vineyard would be mad but couldn’t do anything about it. NIMBY’s in Orem wouldn’t be affected. Could brand it as an extension of Utah City
