@Tazerface16 Karpathy's recent presentation at Sequoia was mostly him trying to explain this to the audience

@joemcguiz the whiteboard extraction is where this gets interesting. most note apps stop at storage, pulling structured action items from messy analog inputs is the real friction point

Last episode you built a product.
Today you give it a brain.
Donna is a personal AI agent who lives on Telegram. She reads your handwriting from a photo, transcribes your voice notes, pulls action items off a whiteboard, saves business cards as contacts, and pings you every morning at 8am with a briefing. She talks to you like a person and runs on the dashboard you deployed last episode. Cost: under $10/month. Time to ship: one afternoon. Code written by you: zero. The full step-by-step (including the exact Claude Code prompt) is on the Substack — link below.

It's a bull market

Realistically what even is there to invest in on a 5-10 year horizon?
S&P at ATHs
Gold near ATHs
Treasury bills barely above the rate of inflation
Housing market is cooked
The dollar is cooked

@joemcguiz @levelsio It was. But then they decided to turn off the aircon.

Everytime I go to Singapore Changi Airport it's worse
Used to be the epitome of high quality airports
Now it's throwing with your suitcase and the AC is at 30°C on eco mode
Lee Kuan Yew would not approve at all

Singapore still has the best arrival - immigration takes 20 seconds and my luggage was instantly on the carousel. But a bit disappointed seeing our suitcases being thrown around while disembarking.

@AndrewYNg I'd push back slightly. Prompting in 2026 matters less than it did in 2022 because the models got better at reading intent. The real skill shift now is knowing WHAT to ask, not HOW to ask it. That's a thinking problem, not a prompting one.
English

How we prompt AI is very different in 2026 than 2022 when ChatGPT came out.
I'm teaching a new course, AI Prompting for Everyone, to help you become an AI power user — whatever your current skill level.
It covers skills that apply across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and other AI tools. How to use deep research mode for well-researched reports on complex questions. How to give AI the right context, including more documents and images than most people realize you can provide. When to ask AI to think hard for several minutes on important decisions like what car to buy, what to study, or what job to take. And how to use AI to generate images, analyze data, and build simple games and websites.
I also cover intuitions about how these models work under the hood, so you know when to trust an answer and when not to.
Along the way, you'll see flying squirrels, a creativity test, some of my old family photos, and fireworks.

@koreavaluehunt With the worst declining birth rate in the world is it a good long term play?
English

@PathOfMen_ That unshakable confidence you see in other men who have made it? It only comes from making it out the other side of where you are now. Another secret. When you do get there, it's instantly recognisable in others who have done the same

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions
My opinion is that this is absolute BS
I work in an industry where I interface with foreign expats (ANZ, UK, US) as clients on a daily basis
Almost ALL are looking for a PR in Singapore, and ~30% are in process of citizenship
I do think that US has an allure in the form of nature and the most capitalistic economy in the world (great for business builders) but as a place to live, I highly doubt Singaporeans are looking to be based full-time there
My cousin-in-law owns a 9 figure business and is currently based in the US but even he said Singapore is home and he'll never relinquish his citizenship
Heck, he even comes back for reservist in our army
So yeah, this is beyond "i may have exaggerated a little bit"

@intjgamergirl For every one American who wants Singapore Citizenship, there's ten thousand Singaporeans who want US citizenship.

@bluewmist Everyone will handle it their own way. For me I got up and read the poem that Nelson Mandela read every day in jail and it gave me strength to push through. It's called 'Invictus' by William Henley
