Just got off the phone with an operator who served in the same T1 unit @joekent16jan19 served in. Got an earful of how he has always been a sycophant who leveraged his fake-MAGA obeisance to leap from being a tactical operator and failed Congressional candidate to a being a senior IC official. In a reply above you said you used to think the same way and mentioned a careful study of the New Testament shifting you view. Praise God for that. Now this Antichrist statement I hope was in jest. A careful reading of 1 John will change one's view of the nonsensical teachings of some futuristic Antichrist. You realize the New Testament was written in Greek and that even Greek words have definitions. Antichrist = Antichristos: literally means one in opposition to Christ. John was speaking to Jewish believers who had had a group leave the faith and starting sowing untruths about Jesus. The word Antichristos is only used 3 times in the New Testament and all 3 are in 1 John. John lays out exactly who an Antichrist is and defines them. "Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18-19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us." 1 John 2:22 "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son." 1 John 4:2-3 "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already." This isn't some futuristic figure coming on the scene, it is simply anyone who opposes Christ. Anyone who says Jesus wasn't who He said He was. Notice John claimed that the spirit of the Antichrist (the opponents of Christ) where there then, and those same type that are in opposition to Jesus are still around to this day...shoot they're here on X!

You should really read all of Matthew 24. If you read the verses you've cherry-picked in the entire context, you'll see the you are mistaken. The Abomination of Desolation is a prophetic phrase originating in the Book of Daniel in the Hebrew Bible, where it describes an act of profound desecration or idolatry that leads to destruction or emptiness in a holy place, typically understood as the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Jesus references this prophecy in the New Testament during the Olivet Discourse, when answering his disciples as to when the temple would be destroyed, what the signs would be, and so on. "So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains" (Matthew 24:15-16) Remember how the chapter starts? Matthew 24:1-3 "Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Jesus then proceeds to answer their questions, tells them what the signs will be and then says this... "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." Matthew 24:34 So, either that generation of people living during the time of Jesus as well as the disciples are still alive or it already happened. What did He say, "not one stone would be left upon another." What did His disciples ask? "When will these things be?" It happened exactly as He said it would within that generation (about 40 years). The Temple was destroyed in 70AD. And with that the Old Covenant ended and the New Covenant was ushered in. Welcome to the Kingdom of God, where Christ is King!
