Birmingham Rep is thrilled to announce that Joe Murphy (@joelukemurphy1) will join us as our new Artistic Director in Spring 2025. Currently Joe is the Artistic Director of the @ShermanTheatre in Cardiff. One of the brightest directors of his generation, Joe’s stage career has included work with The RSC; Old Vic, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Bush Theatre, Soho Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre. At The Rep, Joe will lead an artistic team including @MadeleineKludje, as newly appointed Deputy Artistic Director, and Iqbal Khan (@IqqyKhan) who is re-appointed as Associate Director. @ArtBasler @TheAlexSylvian Yeah, that's really awkwardly done and looks eggy. I think anyone trying to imply it has a deeper meaning is being optimistic. Its just badly choreographed/not considered. It looks like the soldiers are waiting to be in camera shot before firing, clunky
