Hot take: I think he should run independently in Scarborough-Southwest. The party has shown that there's no way they'll allow him to get a seat elsewhere. And I don't think Hafiz has any shot at winning with all the stuff he's done out there

From some quick research: The last time a D1 NCAA college football game was played in Canada was the 2010 (2009 season) International Bowl between South Florida and Northern Illinois. Simon Frasier (in British Columbia) used to be NCAA D2, but dropped their program after the 2022 season

Wow Without their captain (Beaudoin) Barrie does the unthinkable & wins game 5,6 &7 vs Brantford to knock off the leagues #1 team Talk about character &resilience. Doesn't get any better than that Absolutely crushing for Brantford who had the best roster in years #OHLPlayoffs

@BrownRecord Kitchener/London/Oshawa/Windsor are all probably around that $80-$100m mark given they’re the most successful franchises arguably

How is this celebrated?!? What the hell is wrong with people?! Where are the coaches? Umpires? What parent in the right mind wouldn’t drag their son off the field if he did that? Pathetic!!
Danny Kanell@dannykanell

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

@rory_mg @heyglenns Reason why it’s been pushed back was because of Starliner. I think before all these delays he was supposed to fly on the first operational Starliner flight at the end of 2024.

@heyglenns his spot was determined back in 2023 at the same time Gibbons was assigned as backup to Hansen for Artemis II. he earned his spot due to Canada's ongoing robotics contributions to the ISS (canadarm2, dextre, mobile base system)

@canraptor_ A couple things -Aren't the 18 astronauts picked for the "Artemis team" the only ones eligible? -They won't all have international partners right? ESA confirmed for 4 and JAXA for 7 is all I've heard -I wouldn't count out someone around 60. Acaba is a great commander choice imo

Here’s my crew selection prediction for Artemis III These are the ideal individual experience-sets and age ranging i selected for the 2 missions, based on how it was for Artemis II I won’t select the international partner because it’s impossible to deduct The “way too old” range for each mission: >60 The “way too young” range for each mission: <40 The “way too inexperienced” range for each mission: <1 mission (sorry andre douglas) Artemis III Ideal CDR Engineer/Military (45-55) HPT Engineer/Military (45-55) OPT Engineer/Military (45-60) Artemis IV Ideal CDR Engineer/Military (45-55) HPT Engineer/Military (45-55) OPT Engineer/Military (45-55) Artemis III is supposed to be mid 2027 so the most logical time for crew selection would be April or May — even though Artemis III would probably be delayed, crew would sit on it, thus lets make some preliminary eliminations, first, to the “way too recent” range Typically an astronaut waits 2-5 years between spaceflights, which is too vagur so let’s look at Artemis II When the Artemis II crew were announced on April 3rd 2023, the mission was intended to take place in November 2024 (Would Artemis III have a meaningfully enlarged intermission? Probably not, Artemis IV? Probably.) Anyway based on the November 2024 launch date, let’s see how much time would have passed in between previous launches of the 3 American crew members Reid Wiseman’s previous, Soyuz TMA-13M, was launched in 2014 — though Reid was head of the astronauts office thus he isn’t a good benchmark Victor Glover’s previous, SpaceX Crew-1, was more recent, it returned in May 2021, which basically puts 3.5 years between his return and the intended launch date of Artemis II Christina Koch’s previous (return), Soyuz MS-13, returned in February 2020, which puts 4.5 years between her return and the intended launch date Ok, I’m thinking an absolute minimum of 3 years is appropriate, for Artemis III, could be 3.5 or 4 for Artemis IV, but focusing on Artemis III, let’s eliminate missions that returned earlier than 3 years ago relative to April 2026 — April 2023 The <3y missions list: MS-28 (in space) Crew-12 (in space) Artemis II (returned this month) Crew-11 (returned 3 months ago) MS-27 (returned 4 months ago) Crew-10 (returned 8 months ago) MS-26 (returned 12 months ago) Crew-9 (returned 13 months ago) Crew-8 (returned 18 months ago) MS-25 (returned 19 months ago) MS-24 (returned 24 months ago) Crew-7 (returned 25 months ago) Crew-6 (returned 31 months ago) MS-23 (returned 31 months ago) —— Boeing CFT (nobody returned) MS-22 (nobody returned) Which would eliminate (for just Artemis III) Christopher Williams (MS-28) Jessica Meir (Crew-12) Jack Hathaway (Crew-12) Reid Wiseman (Artemis II) Victor Glover (Artemis II) Christina Koch (Artemis II) Zena Cardman (Crew-11) Michael Fincke (Crew-11) Jonny Kim (MS-27) Anne McClain (Crew-10) Nichole Ayers (Crew-10) Donald Pettit (MS-26) Nick Hague (Retired) Barry Wilmore (Retired) Sunita Williams (Retired) Matthew Dominick (Crew-8) Michael Barratt (Crew-8) Jeanette Epps (Retired) Tracy Caldwell Dyson (MS-25) Loral O’Hara (MS-24) Jasmin Moghbeli (Crew-7) Stephen Bowen (Crew-6) Warren Hoburg (Crew-6) Frank Rubio (MS-23) Future missions that have assignments (acc to Wikipedia & Eric Berger) Jessica Watkins (Crew-13) Luke Delaney (Crew-13) Anil Menon (MS-29) Which leaves us with: Stephanie D. Wilson G16 Douglas Wheelock G17 Stanley G. Love G17 Randolph Bresnik G19 Mark T. Vande Hei G20 Andrew R. Morgan G21 Nicole Mann G21 Bob Hines G22 Kayla Barron G22 Raja Chari G22 Andre Douglas G23 Christina Birch G23 Deniz Burnham G23 Jessica Wittner G23 Marcos Berrios G23 (1/2)
