We’re talking about Goblins. openai.com/index/where-th…

In Agent RL, models suffer from Template Collapse. They generate vast, diverse outputs (High Entropy) that lose all meaningful connection to the input prompt (Low Mutual Information). In other words, agent learn different ways to say nothing. 🚀 Introducing RAGEN-v2 -- Here's how we define and fix such silent failure modes in Agent RL. 🧵

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be starting my CS PhD at @NorthwesternU this fall, advised by @ManlingLi_! I’ll be researching areas in trustworthy AI and spatial intelligence to build reliable AI systems that are grounded in the physical world. I’m also happy to announce that I was awarded the @NSF GRFP fellowship, which will support my PhD for 3 years! This wouldn’t have been possible without my wonderful mentors @nunompmoniz, @Meng_CS, @frank_liu_01, @NoahZiems, and countless others who’ve guided me throughout my undergrad. And so… I guess I won’t be leaving the midwest :)

My postdoc at @amazon is coming to an end, really happy to have had this opportunity, and huge thanks to @sondinhtran for hiring me! More papers I co-authored during this postdoc will come out in the next few months

Google Student Researcher Program 2026 is now OPEN! Work on REAL AI/ML projects with: • Google Research • DeepMind • Google Cloud Open to: Bachelors / Masters / PhD Duration: 3–12 months Deadline: March 31 If you're serious about AI, this is your shot. Apply here google.com/about/careers/…

Our team is stretched thin at the moment! To continue upper-bounding the autonomy of AI agents, and developing evaluations for monitoring AI systems and their propensity to subvert human control, we need more great engineering and research staff. Please apply below or DM me!
