@norbertmao @DailyMonitor @observerug @newvisionwire Hahahaha papa mao there for you what a good analysis
English

This is what we call “angle” in journalism. @DailyMonitor says the police is a shield for the corrupt, @observerug says the police thwarted the protest, @newvisionwire says the protest flopped. How do you cut off someone’s wings then say they can’t fly?

You and the people employing you have mastered the art of political voyeurism. You derive pleasure in the suffering of those who disagree with you. Sad!

I just pray it's true. If yes, then I will start watching @nbstv 🙂. Cc: @kingFahad_17

Here is our friend Kihura Rozio, who ran after my car to give me a hammer (as in enyondo😁) in Isingiro recently. Many people online have started calling him Nsi because of his running skills😅
We traced him and intended to host him at today's press conference as we marked 4 years of @NUP_Ug but the regime blocked our offices. Nonetheless, I hosted him home in Magere.
Rozio exemplifies millions of young Ugandans who were never concerned with politics until the #PeoplePower Movement emerged. Many people were touched by his video and have reached out to us regarding how they can help him change his life. While our welfare team sees how to support him, you may also send in your support directly to him on 0701685107/ 0761677690 both registered in the names Ayesiga Promise.

Dear my leader, elder Gen @otafiire_k
First of all, I salute you for serving our beautiful country for the last 40 or so years.
As part of the ruling @NRMOnline you & your fellow leaders have been instrumental in pushing Uganda towards the middle income status thru social economic transformation programs for Ugandans. I can confidently say you've done quite well. We appreciate your work over the years.
However, I don't think your recent public call to young Ugandans to stand against corrupt leaders was in good faith.
I actually don't believe you have the moral authority to lead an anti-corruption crusade.
My leader, it's no secret that your name has appeared in various corruption scandals over the years.
For example in May 2006, then @IGGUganda pinned you for messing up tendering process for computerisation of the Lands Registry.
The IGG, in a May 18 2006 report to then PM Prof. Apollo Nsibambi (late) accused you of interfering with the tendering process for the project at the evaluation stage by disbanding the official evaluation committee and hand picking a private firm, M/S Center for Procurement Management, to carry out the evaluation contrary to @PPDAUganda regulations.
Your name appears in quite a number of corruption issues as shown in a few links below.
While your message resonates with the heightened anti-corruption war led by @KagutaMuseveni , I believe as a senior leader within our party & government, you should have raised these issues internally if you truly cared. Your public outcry is insincere.
Going forward, I pray, you engage your fellow leaders internally instead of brewing bad blood within.
Like I already said, we are all against corruption but how we approach our war against it matters.
For God and my Country.

Copying a leaf from Uhuru Kenyatta, I think Alan is simply saying, TALK WITH THE YOUTHS NOT AT THEM.
Amazing how choice of words and tone used can be such a game changer.
The arrogance and opulence displayed by those in public office should be tamed, just recently, PM Nabanja suggested the arrest of poor people in Uganda, this is totally unbecoming of servant leadership.
Beyond suggesting wealth creation and PDM projects, create an all inclusive economic culture, far from the "TULI MU KINTU" mentality.

I am a life long student of President @KagutaMuseveni.
I have a deep understanding of his thinking and @AndrewMwenda says I cut him some slack because of the compromises he has to make to keep Uganda going.
I disagree.
Anyway- for the first time, I have serious questions about Mzee’s grasp of what Uganda’s young people are saying.
You can’t tell them that “we are wealth creators and you should either join us or get out of our way”
They want to create wealth too. They are desperate to join. But they feel unseen, unheard and generally disregarded.
They don’t feel like that they have a stake in the country.
And to tell them that they are playing with fire is to miss the point.
They don’t care. They don’t fear violence.
Talk to them about opportunities.
Expand ideas of production beyond farming and animal husbandry.
Talk to them about innovation and monetisation of content creation.
Give them grants to explore creativity. Our software developers are world class. Need I add that Musk, Gates and Bezos are software developers?
Show them opportunities that AI and machine learning present.
They are already integrated. Way ahead of political integration. As I type this, I’m helping young people in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya make sense of an idea they are collaborating on.
Unless the substance and the tone of conversations with young people changes, the disconnect will continue.
And we don’t need to look too far for examples of potential outcomes.
