@herraarex @VoteHub None using 2024 results. But risky for GOP to assume they'll hold onto the majority of Trump's gains with Hispanic voters. Could happen, or may not

This map is extremely aggressive, especially given how well Democrats have performed with Hispanic voters over the past 12 months. Many of these seats would likely rate as Lean or Likely Republican in 2026. For the gerrymander to break, Democrats would need to win five of them.

NEW — Ron DeSantis released a draft of Florida’s new congressional map as the state’s special redistricting session begins. The proposal could flip four seats from 🔵 to 🔴.

@MarioFb9 @NilesGApol Romero would be the best imo. 1) would be bad optics to replace a Hispanic senator with a non-Hispanic person. 2) A women replacing a man who hung out with a creep is a good thing

@NilesGApol Def not fontes he and hobbs do not get along. There will be pressure to appoint another latino to the seat and hobbs will want an ally in the senate. So probably Regina Romero

Mainstream media is trying to cope with the fact that the environmentalists lost in the biggest turnout for one of the deepest blue territories in Arizona. Kamala Harris won the SRP Voting footprint with approximately 57% of the vote, 16 points over Trump. Democrat Sandra Kennedy 🔵 lost SRP by almost this same amount to Chris Dobson 🔴 — 58-42– that is a huge 30+ point swing and over performance by Republican voters in the most metropolitan area of Arizona. In SRP district 6, literally one of the Kamala won by 37 points (68-31), but the environmentalists underperformed that by 20+points for this election in 6. This brings up a massive problem that most voters aren’t aware of— Democrats know they had clear voter advantage in SRP, and luckily still lost majorly in recent years given the voter dynamics. It should serve as a wake up call to ratepayers who are dependent on a now heavily democrat filled district to determine a much larger service area for water and electric policy. Many voters who are SRP customers that we talked to are dismayed as they discovered for the first time this year they are paying their hard earned dollars for utilities without any representation on the SRP board. This is a major problem that needs to be fixed— as it has been ignored largely because the Phoenix metro area historically was politically pretty balanced with farmland in the SRP voting footprint, but now it is not.

Honestly, if I could check my bags and clear TSA in Tucson (3 minutes, tops) then take a bus to Sky Harbor (90 minutes by highway), arriving on the airside to get nonstop connections to anywhere… I’d consider it.
Aakash Gupta@aakashgupta

American Airlines has 77 regional planes sitting in storage because they can't find pilots to fly them. The expected U.S. pilot shortfall in 2026 is 24,000. Training a new commercial pilot takes 2-3 years minimum and costs six figures. So American found a loophole. Partner with a bus company, brand the bus "American Eagle," sell the seat on aa.com with a flight number, route passengers through TSA, let them pick a seat, check bags, earn AAdvantage miles. The entire experience is designed to feel like a flight in every way except the part where you leave the ground. The economics are staggering. A regional jet on a 90-mile route needs two pilots ($100K+ each), a flight attendant, jet fuel, FAA maintenance requirements, and an aircraft that costs $20-30 million. The Landline bus needs one driver and a highway. South Bend to Chicago O'Hare is 90 miles. That route doesn't make money with a regional jet anymore. It barely made money before the pilot shortage. The bus lets American keep selling connections through O'Hare to every destination in its network without operating a single flight. This is what the pilot shortage actually looks like. Not cancelled routes. Not smaller airports going dark. The airline just quietly reclassified a bus as a flight and kept charging accordingly. The TikTok exposing it has 13 million views because the passenger cleared security, sat at a gate, and watched her luggage get loaded onto a coach before it merged onto the interstate. The word "bus" appears once during booking in small text. Google Flights lists it with a tiny bus icon. The airline says customers are "transparently informed." 72% of U.S. airports have already lost an average of 25% of their flights to the shortage, and Landline is expanding, not shrinking. Philadelphia, Chicago, and now five regional airports are on the bus network. American Airlines is solving a $28,000-per-pilot-shortfall crisis by removing the pilot from the equation entirely. The bus is the product now. The flight number is just packaging.

In a seeming confirmation of a joint U.S.-Israeli action, Israeli military correspondent Halle Bitton Rosen has said that Israeli security sources have said that Israel and the U.S. are conducting the operation “hand in hand.” Full Statement: “The story is over, Israel and the United States hand in hand - in the next day, more bombs will fall in Iran than in any with a lioness.”

Seems hard for the President to rely on the 15 percent statute (sec 122) when his DOJ in our case told the Court the opposite: “Nor does [122] have any obvious application here, where the concerns the President identified in declaring an emergency arise from trade deficits, which are conceptually distinct from balance-of-payments deficits." If he wants sweeping tariffs, he should do the American thing and go to Congress. If his tariffs are such a good idea, he should have no problem persuading Congress. That’s what our Constitution requires. Trump Says He Will Raise Global Tariff to 15 Percent nytimes.com/2026/02/21/bus… via @NYTimes
