Now re-count the other 46 seats accurately and you will find One Nation ahead in every one 👏👏👏

Imagine having very strong political opinions but not knowing who actually counts the votes
Suzan 🇦🇺@Suzanm19

@JillMarinelli1 Too many questions about seats and counting. Why is the ABC in control of the votes seats and counting.

Funny how the loudest people talking about “self-reliance” are marketing consultants working on laptops, flying to Hamilton Island, sipping champagne on yachts, running businesses built on the internet, roads, airports, and an economy funded by taxpayers. Apparently nurses, teachers, ambos and soldiers are “dependent on government” — but a marketing consultant with Wi-Fi, Qantas and a MacBook is a rugged individualist. That’s not self-reliance. That’s just selective memory
Jo McKee@McKeeCreative1

@ausstockchick I think more than half rely for a good deal of their income - either directly or indirectly - from government handouts. Remember when people used to feel ashamed if they took handouts? We need to somehow bring back that sense of self-reliance.

Calling nurses and soldiers “handout recipients” tells you everything you need to know about this argument.

Congratulations to Tony Abbott and Peta Credlin. You finally have successfully achieved revenge against the Liberal Party for dumping Abbott after two years as PM. The Liberal Party to quote Tony Abbott is “dead, buried and cremated”. Well done to you both!

@RealMarkLatham Every Prime Minister gets yelled at when the world’s a mess. That’s not new, and it’s not the end of Australia — it’s just part of the job

When the Australian Prime Minister is abused by both the Jews in Bondi and the Muslims in Lakemba over a conflict on the other side of the world that has NOTHING to do with us, you can see how comprehensively Australian multiculturalism has FAILED.

@peters_malcolm @mattjcan @LyleShelton Ah yes, because bushfire alerts, flood warnings, and holding governments to account should definitely turn a profit 🙄 Not everything exists to make shareholders rich, mate. Some of it’s called a public service.

@mattjcan @LyleShelton ABC staff as public servants have no understanding of investment in risk to generate profit. Only know sticking your hand out and receiving salary. You can hypothesise all manner of grifting if you have that security.

I am not going to cop the ABC - or other left wing media - complaining that we have not done enough to guarantee petrol and diesel supplies. For years these organisations have run activist campaigns against my attempts (and others) to drill, baby, drill. They can't turn around now and whinge ... where are the fossil fuels! Maybe after an equal number of pro oil, pro gas and pro coal stories they can be forgiven, but I won't hold my breath!

I mean, yes - that's partially true. Pauline has indeed stuck to her bigoted views like a strip of superglue-soaked orange velcro. However, she has changed her mind on: Vaccines causing autism. Abolishing penalty rates. The Port Arthur massacre being a government conspiracy. Weakening Australia's gun laws. Segregation of autistic children in schools. Her own birthday. And let's not forget:
One Nation Australia@OneNationAus

Staying true to your values is the quality Australians respect most in a leader. They want conviction, not convenience. For more than three decades, Pauline Hanson has held firm to her views. Agree or disagree, she has been consistent, clear and unshaken by political fashion. Worst ever? That’s a big call. Inflation was global. Debt blew out during COVID. We’ve had back-to-back surpluses. If this is “worst ever,” history must be very short — or the chardonnay very generous tonight
Prue MacSween@macsween_prue

While @JEChalmers can spin all he likes, the numbers don’t lie. He is the worst Treasurer inflicted on this country.

Teaching Indigenous history doesn’t “diminish” British settlement — it completes the story. Australia didn’t start in 1788. It also didn’t skip 1788. Both are true. National pride isn’t built by leaving chapters out — it’s built by understanding the whole book. And counting word mentions in a curriculum doesn’t tell you how deeply something is taught. British law, parliamentary democracy and the Westminster system are foundational to how Australia operates today — they’re embedded throughout civics and history content, not erased. Kids can learn about the First Fleet and First Nations culture. That’s not imbalance. That’s honesty.
Jacinta Nampijinpa@JNampijinpa

Our kids deserve to grow up proud of Australia. Today in Senate Estimates, I asked the Department of Education about the mandatory singing of our national anthem in government schools across Australia, following the excellent announcement of the Finocchiaro Government to mandate the singing of Advance Australia Fair in Northern Territory government schools. I also asked about the imbalance in the history curriculum for primary school children, where content clearly favours our Indigenous and migrant history over our colonial history. For example, in the curriculum content for the Humanities and Social Sciences – from Foundation through to Year 6 – “First Nations” is mentioned 71 times and “Diverse” or “Diversity” is mentioned 26 times. Of course, children can’t appreciate Australian history without learning about our Indigenous heritage and migrant character. But “British” is only mentioned 12 times, “European” is only mentioned 6 times, and “colonial” is only mentioned 10 times. British settlement is not taught – or mentioned – throughout the Foundation, Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 of a child’s education. The First Fleet is not mentioned until Year 4, and yet, in Year 1, children examine “the traditional toys used by First Nations Australian children to play and learn.” It takes until Year 6 for children to be taught about “the impact of British law on the Australian system of law, as well as the origin of values such as freedom of speech, equality before the law and social justice.” How can a curriculum nurture national pride in our children when the content is clearly intended to diminish and demean British colonisation?

Funny how every bit of scrutiny is suddenly a “smear campaign.” If someone’s in public office — whether it’s Angus Taylor, Albo, or anyone else — they’re going to face criticism. That’s not dirty play, that’s democracy. And unions supporting Labor? That’s not a secret conspiracy — it’s literally how the party was formed. Just like business groups back the Coalition. If there’s evidence of wrongdoing, show it. If it’s just politics-as-usual noise, let’s not pretend one side invented it.
