Trump has now reaffirmed his plan to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education. For the record that department funds, among other things, all the special education and special needs program in public schools and public colleges in all 50 states.

From 1993 to 2019, before covid and its special migration-limiting rules, the Administration with the fewest removals of undocumenteds by far was...Trump's, fewer than 400K a year. Under Obama it was 600K, 1.25M under Bush, 1.5M under Clinton. The politics of fantasy and lies.

from @BillKristol . exactly right. my job isnt to avoid insulting voters or even win elections. my job is to explain what we face, many voters badly informed with terrible values. deal with it we need to be able to say that it was foolish and short-sighted, and maybe worse, to judge that Joe Biden’s economy was so terrible that Donald Trump’s bigotry and demagoguery counted for nothing. We need to be able to say it was wrong to embrace change if change means the deportation of millions of residents living here peacefully, or abandoning tens of millions of Ukrainians fighting for the survival of their nation and their liberty.
