@UntypicalTx @HansMahncke My contention is that they threw out the cases, not on the merits of the cases, but because they were terrified of the threats and implied violence resulting from the cases. I do think some of the cases lacked merit, but not all of them, not by a long shot.

A judge’s obligation is to administer justice without fear or favor. The reality is that Barrett appears to have a great deal of fear, and it strains credibility to suggest that those concerns have not affected her judicial reasoning.

@DougBillings Safer streets? Please tell that to the survivors of the 4 Florida school children whose tragic end caused the last attempt at this to be repealed. Look up H.R. 11324 (93rd Congress). "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -George Santayana

One hour. That’s all we’re talking about. One more hour of evening daylight with our families… our kids… our grandkids… our communities. Fewer dark commutes. More time outside. More Little League games. More backyard cookouts. More American life. It’s common sense. President Trump is backing the effort to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, and the House is moving it forward. Washington doesn’t always get it right. This time, let’s hope they do. Keep the sun shining. 🌞🇺🇸 Believe it. For the Republic! Cheers. Do you support making Daylight Saving Time permanent? Vote below! 👇 ❤️ = Yes 👎 = No

This is one of the most important moments ever aired on CNBC. Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya says the media lied to millions of Americans about President Trump, and that after going back to the original source material, he realized he had been completely misled about Trump’s character. PALIHAPITIYA: “The reality is that most of us were lied to by the media about President Trump.” “And if you just go back to the source material, you should take away two things.” “One, he didn’t say half the things he said, and two, why did these other people just fabricate what they wanted to say so that they could essentially assassinate his character?” “I think that that second thing is completely unacceptable in America, and there’s still been no repercussions, really.” “I took the time to learn about it. I admitted where…you know, the way that I met him was, I admitted on the pod, which, you know, has millions of viewers.” “And I said, I got it totally wrong because I went and I watched Charlottesville.” “And, you know, the first person to call me? President Trump.” “And I got to know him and I put the phone down, I called my wife, and I said, we got it TOTALLY, totally wrong. We were lied to.” “And then I got to know him and he is fantastic!” @chamath

Please oppose the Sunshine Protection Act. We already tried permanent Daylight Saving Time in 1973, and it was disastrous for many reasons. Let’s learn from history instead of repeating it. Please vote NO. @SenatorBennet @Hickenlooper @RepJeffCrank

It’s clear that Americans want more daylight in the evenings and to end the biannual clock change. I’m excited to share that tomorrow, the House will vote on my Sunshine Protection Act to make DST permanent and bring it one step closer to becoming law. buchanan.house.gov/2026/07/13/buc…

Based on history, I disagree. We tried permanent DST in 1974. It was supposed to be a trial period for 1 year. It was repealed after only 3 months because the later sunrise was a factor in several fatal school crossing accidents. I was 13 and vividly recall how miserable winter under DST was. If we can't go to permanent Standard Time, (like it used to be before WWII), then just keep the same wretched mess we have now.

You could live like a medieval peasant today with even less work. No plumbing, no electricity, no heating or air conditioning, no antibiotics, no internet, no automobiles, no refrigeration, no modern medicine, little meat, high infant mortality, and a house smaller and less comfortable than what many poor people have today. People romanticize medieval peasants the way children romanticize camping. The enjoyable parts are imagined while someone else is expected to provide the food, medicine, shelter, and sanitation.

What’s one conspiracy you can’t prove but you’re convinced is true? I’ve been married to the daughter of an NYPD cop for 22 years. She drives like she’s late to a five-alarm fire after eye surgery and often drives cross country “just for fun”… yet somehow has never gotten a single ticket or been in an accident. Not even a dent from a shopping cart. I’m convinced there’s a secret handshake for traffic stops and a body shop reserved exclusively for cops’ daughters.
