@DefenderOfBasic within "innovation vs maintenance": does maintenance count as changing the world?
English

@visakanv I have notes on chapters 14 and 27, for some reason. Maybe because they're good.
English

@DefenderOfBasic i'm just here thinking this is a perfectly good zone. not too big, not too small. the proportion pleases me. it's all good.

....wait! this diagram is inaccurate. Not all humans share the same boundary on reality. For some people it grows over time (upon enlightenment)

- Your history, like code, is a tool that can be used to document and represent what's going on and what occurred. It can be more or less clear. Just like code can be cryptic and still work. Should you use Git to document your history clearly? Your call.
English

@johnloeber - Hmm okay. But why go through that hassle.

i frequently ask engineering candidates what the difference between a git rebase and a git merge is
i have heard so many (100+) garbled, nonsensical, or subtly wrong answers — but always using the right vocab — over the past few months, that at this point i feel totally fried and would not personally answer this question as well as i would have before i started doing this. i frequently have to look it up just to override all the wrong stuff i am hearing. this is like context window pollution for LLMs
