@Mike_kim714 @chrisbrockman I still chuckle that out of all that can be done in the ‘arms race’ to limit the need for more land and 8,200 yard courses, they picked anchoring the putter over balls, shafts, and springy driver club faces.

Thoughts from Bay Hill:
-I saw the Lochness monster on hole 6 Thursday. That was cool
-This week was super close from being a great week for me. I just couldn’t figure those greens out. I know my stroke is good but I had trouble reading the greens and the speed. I’m going to have to putt some extra work in on my putting this week.
-Bay Hill fits my eye very well especially off the tee. There’s a lot of right to left holes with trouble up the left. I was able to aim it at the right edge and hit my draw all day.
-The best my driver swing has felt in a long long time. I was able to work it both ways too which is going to be really important at Players.
-Played with Billy the final round and he’s always fun to play with. It genuinely feels like he’s also rooting for you to play well.
-Idk where the hill in Bay Hill is though haha
-Tough way to lose it for Berger but the dude is a killer. Not going to back down and showed it all well. Just amazing play from Akshay. I thought it was over after nine but incredible how he was able to just keep at it with a flourish of birdies.
-Onto the Players! Game feels pretty solid. I haven’t had much success here but this is the most prepared I’ve felt coming into this week. Why not us!

@gmoomaw There’s an important distinction between the two proposals that must be reconciled in the final version. The Senate funds are matching funds distributed via a code section. The house version is more of a direct grant.

Mini-update on the missing phone in the Richmond FOIA officer case:
The city’s lawyers say they just learned about this document we got (from the city) that said the phone was being kept at the airport.
Last week, they told the court they’re “investigating with the airport”

BTW, the city's lawyers filed these transcripts to show that top City Hall officials testified they never texted about the former FOIA officer. It's part of the still-unsettled dispute over the missing phone and the possibility of missing evidence. richmonder.org/richmonds-lawy…

Happy New Year!! 2025 was a tremendous year financially for me (and hopefully for all of you), with a record personal portfolio gain (in dollars), on top of a record year in 2024. Unfortunately, the year ended sadly, with the death of my mother just before Xmas (nearly 93 years old, after living a long and rich life). Funeral occurred yesterday. Not looking for sympathy - just patience from my HTS subscriber base. Now in its 39th year of publication, the letter is typically released in the first week of every month and the Jan. 2026 letter will be too. ETA for the Jan. HTS publication release (email) early next week (likely Monday).
