Finally changed my profile to reflect that this is a very rare tweet. My reporting is available on Spectrum news channels, SN+, our app & website (and maybe once in a while here). I thought about a long post about why - w/my deep concerns about Twitter, social media...but nah.

By my ride homeless outreach from the city is severely lacking. There are people spread out on benches.

2 things he can say: 1. This phrase is hurtful and does not advance safety or peace. 2. Israel is a homeland for Jews (and don’t get into weeds). My job as mayor is not to solve Mid East peace but to show NYC is a model for tolerance (or benign apathy!) politico.com/news/2025/07/1…

Finding common ground politically may be easier than we think. Research shows that while Republicans and Democrats think 55% of their opponents hold extreme views, only 30% actually do. For more, watch @JoshRobin's special on trust in America. specne.ws/MH3K4H

Mohammed Suleman came to the U.S. as a refugee and made sure his children understood the value of American democracy. Now, that lesson is guiding his son, Kerim's, plans for the future. Watch @JoshRobin's full story: specne.ws/UVVfZf

I am now part of the latest bloodbath at New York Public Radio. It was the best 32 years of my life. Thanks to listeners who helped make it meaningful, to colleagues who work so very hard & to the amazing Jeff Spurgeon, who made me a better broadcaster every single day.

@joshualeifer This really reminds me of book banning which ostensibly these same folks who banned the moderator are against.

I am never shopping there again, barring an apology and reversal. This is like book banning - which I assume this bookstore opposes.

In the exact words of @mta chair and ceo Janno Lieber, so much for @GovKathyHochul being “MTA riders’ best friend.”

@brianstelter @NY1 The notion that people will suddenly commute to midtown like they did pre Covid is laughable. The point is to make it less likely people drive in while making mass transit more palatable.

Joe Lieberman was a towering figure in my hometown and among family and friends. I appreciated the internship he gave me — although I enjoyed it, it made me realize I wanted to be reporting and not in politics. I am stunned at this loss. My ❤️ and prayers to his family.

@havivrettiggur I think this is more or equal to US politics - Schumer is signaling to left/Dems that he is willing to stand up to Israel, even floating idea that there could be a more profound break

I dunno guys. From where I’m sitting, the Democrats seem doggedly committed to handing Bibi his reelection campaign. If you make him the hero standing up to American pressure on Israel/waffling on Hamas, you give him his one chance for political survival. He’s a political dead man walking because October 7 happened on his watch, and because he’s generally distrusted and unliked by a large majority of the public. (That’s not an opinion. We have extensive polls.) The sooner Hamas is defeated, the sooner the election comes and the sooner Netanyahu almost certainly falls. (Again, every poll and study.) If Democrats don’t understand that, he’ll run circles around them.

Quite shocking for @SenSchumer to equate @IsraeliPM @netanyahu with Hamas as a reason there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Quite shocking for Senator Schumer to call for the replacement of the government of Israel. This is about the most absurd set of comments I have heard, and as the former White House Special Envoy to the Middle East for nearly 3 years, trust me- I have heard A LOT! I have a few questions for Sen. Schumer: Are you Israeli? Do you or your kids or grandkids serve in the Israeli Army? Do you pay taxes in Israel? If not, who are you to try to change the Israeli government? Your remarks are the height of chutzpah. You can be frustrated about things. You may have different ideas about how to achieve peace. You may not like what some Israeli government officials say and you are free to criticize those. But most of your remarks were outrageous. Shame on you.
