How about @OuachitaBSB with a big non-conference win over RV Harding? Five different players had two hits apiece. Kyndall Cassidy threw 4 1/3 scoreless with a pair of strikeouts. #D2Baseball

@rcb05 Do those who think throwing some cotton balls to symbolize going to the Cotton Bowl still wear cotton clothing? If so, why?

Yesterday I made a post encouraging A&M fans to bring cotton balls to throw in the air at the game this Saturday if the Aggies won and moved on to play in the Cotton Bowl. It’s a tradition that dates back decades. However, others have pointed out that this is a gesture that could be interpreted very differently, with potential racial overtones. My intent was to revive a fun way to celebrate our team’s (potential) victory, but that should never come at the expense of doing something others could view as hateful and hurtful. I have deleted the post. #GigEm

@CJVogel_OTF This is why they are called The Whiny Orange. Crying about having 7 home games and only 4 away games (OU is a neutral site). Always entitled.

Quick Thots on the 2026 #Texas SEC schedule. • Texas leaves the state once before November • Then November is a grind • Bye week is very early More breakdown at OnTexasFootball.com

Easily the toughest schedule Texas has ever had. 9 conference games + Ohio State + two G5 teams who both went to bowls this year + 3 road games in November + only 1 bye week

Gayle Sayers. I attended a function at SMU for the Doak Walker Award where Gayle Sayers spoke. I got to listen to him prior to the event so an interview for a local radio station. They asked him who was or is th greatest running back and he said hands down it would have been Dickerson if he’d kept his head on straight and not forced a trade.

If these running backs played at their peak for 12 years, who would be the greatest running back of all time?🧐

@rcb05 Admirable? Really? He knew they wouldn’t let him do that so he makes it all about him, as usual. And trying to burn it all down in his way out.

I can appreciate the complexity of this issue for Ole Miss, but in an age where we often critique coaches for abandoning their team in the dead of night when they leave for a new job, it’s hard to view Lane wanting to finish out the season as anything but admirable.

Yes, it’s a tough conference but if Texas is a great as they tell you they are how do you only score 13 points in regulation and win on a FG in OT. Kind of like Texas arguing that A&M sucks and is overrated but realizing that argument doesn’t help them so they are a great team and they beat the #3 team in the country.

@jpbagnall @dannykanell So is the sec difficult or not? All we heard was Texas will struggle in the sec and they haven’t. They’ve played a sec schedule and won all but 2

The Texas Longhorns resume is a giant house of cards….a resume is 12 games - including that 3 game gauntlet of San Jose State, UTEP, and Sam Houston 👀

@NHBuhlahkay @dannykanell So, you’re telling me OSU would barely win those games because they are road games in the SEC? Tenn won there scoring 56 and Miss won there scoring 30.

@slmandel Why does everyone forget their struggles against a bad Kentucky and Miss. St. had to win both those games in OT. According to the whiny orange, they are just as good as OSU. Do you think OSU goes to OT in order to beat those teams? Nope.

This was quite an unpopular take. 🤣 Texas is not a sympathetic example. I'm not shilling for them. But in general, I'd love for us to stop saying a team that beat three double-digit win foes (A&M, OU, Vandy) is automatically disqualified b/c two losses is always better than three.
Stewart Mandel@slmandel

I'm not going to the mat for Texas. Field is too crowded already. But we really, really need to stop defaulting to the loss column above all else.

Maybe don’t lose to Florida; or beat a bad Kentucky team in OT and thank Kentucky for running it 4 straight times up the middle from the 1 yard line to hand you the W; and also beat that powerhouse Miss. St. in OT, too. But hey, you still beat “little brother” so you got that going for you.

There's a strong possibility that Texas is sitting on the outside of the CFP despite being the only team to beat 3 of the 12 teams in the playoff field All because we chose to not cancel the Ohio State game

Steve Sarkisian opens the SEC Coaches Teleconference with comments on his status at Texas: "I'd like to comment something before I get into our team that has been bothering me now over the past few weeks. That is people reporting that are insinuating that there's a possibility I could leave the University of Texas, and that is absolutely false and untrue. I'm not going anywhere. Never do I do this because I never want to be a distraction, so I never address these things. At this point, I feel like this is important that I do this because it's important for our team. It's important for our university. I've had no discussions, not with my agent, not with the university, not with any other school, not with any NFL team about ever going anywhere else. I came here to win championships. I've got two kids enrolled at the University of Texas, one in law school, one on our team. I've got a third that hopefully decides to enroll at the University of Texas next fall. My wife and I just had our son here in Austin. This is our home. We came here to win championships. We've built a damn good football program over the five years that we've been here. We've been to two College Football Playoffs. We won a Big 12 championship. We went to the SEC Championship game in year one. We've had 23 players drafted the last two years, which is more than any other school in the country and our team GPA is at an all-time high. Can we please stop putting things out there that you have absolutely zero evidence on? Can we please stop retweeting and putting it back out there as if it's true? As if it's the gospel? It is not true. If you have a question about my future, call me or call Chris Del Conte our athletic director and we can set the record straight for you so everybody understands. So moving forward, when some Joe Blow decides to put something on social media out there, we all don't run with it like it's the gospel. Can we all agree on that on this call? If you have a question about my future with the University of Texas, ask me on one of these calls. Ask Chris Del Conte. He'll be more than happy to take your call so that we can set the record straight and so we can focus on our football team, which is what we should be doing. Everybody good with that?"

@EmmanuelAcho It takes a moron Kentucky coach to run the exact same play four times in a row in overtime to gift wrap a win! I wouldn’t even say it’s the defense as much as special teams.
