Last week I wrapped up my time with the wonderful @LayerZero_Core team.
I have spent the last 3 years working tirelessly with the smartest people I’ve ever met, building something I am truly passionate about. I am incredibly proud of everything we did for Stargate, and LayerZero more recently.
Ultimately being an intimate part of ~80 chain launches over the last couple years has taken a toll on me & it’s time to touch grass for a bit.
The bridge is home & Stargate is left in the safest of hands, LayerZero will continue dominating interop, and Zero will blow your minds. To be very explicit - LZ, and Zero, will win and my belief in the technology and the team is at an all time high.
Through it all, I could not be more grateful for the opportunity and learnings. A true honour.

Hey folks, I've been quiet, but here’s why: I built XMR402.
It’s HTTP 402 (`Payment Required`) + Monero.
AI agents can now pay for APIs, data, compute -- privately, instantly, no accounts, no KYC, no trace.
How it works
server sends a 402 challenge, you pay 0.0001 XMR (or whatever amount), grab the proof from your wallet, and resend.
Server checks the mempool in ~200ms -- boom, unlocked.
No logs. No fingerprints. Just cash for bits.
Try it on the official website, there is a button for interaction.
Pay a tiny amount → get real-time page (protected) back.

Personal Update: I have recently left Monad Foundation eco team. Joining as one of the early APAC hires has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. And it's been a real privilege to work alongside such an ambitious, thoughtful and driven group of people. I am deeply grateful to @keoneHD @0x_eunice @thetinaverse @sungmo_apac16z and @jinglingcookies for welcoming me as an early member of the team. From our first on-the-ground developer activation workshops in China, to building out the Mandarin speaking community, to launching builder initiatives like Monad Madness HK, I have no doubt the APAC ecosystem will continue to grow with the help from @lulu70191243 @Harveycww @BoxMrChen and many others. As I wrote in “Why Crypto Matters” two years ago, I believe blockchains are an institutional technology that enables new forms of economic coordination through control, liberation, and the expansion of individual action. I am confident Monad will be an important network in enabling that future. I will be cheering for Monad from the side and contributing to the eco in my personal capacity. Staying close to the space and exploring what's next, always happy to connect.

I’m a tiny Mercury investor but I say all of this as a customer and observer in the space:
1. Synapse & Evolve were the best (really, only) options in town when Mercury started.
2. They started diversifying to Choice and Column as soon as practically possible.
3. I’ve been a customer 8-10x over (across entities I manage), some of them since Mercury’s closed beta, I know hundreds of delighted customers personally, and neither I or any of them have been affected in the slightest (besides an account number changing), despite Synapse or Evolve’s shenanigans. Mercury insulated us from all that, which is about all you can ask for.
Bash on Synapse and Evolve all you want. They deserve it. But stop trying to tear down good actors for clicks.
