@js_herbert @NerdNiteLondon @AndyRileyish Oh, wish you could have come! The motto of Nerd Nite is "Be there and be square", so I guess you're not... square?

@js_herbert "Algorithms + Data Structures = Programs". It's old but great.

Niklaus Wirth was one of my heroes. Pascal was the second language I learned (after Apple BASIC). If you haven't already, look at any of the languages he designed, or read his writing. His sense of clarity and elegance inspires.

We lost a titan of programming languages, programming methodology, software engineering and hardware design. Niklaus Wirth passed away on the first of January. We mourn a pioneer, colleague, mentor and friend.

@sallygoble Cannot get over the distance you're able to cover, day in, day out, @sallygoble! Absolute inspiration. Love to see your swims.

@mrb_barton Ooh, our DNSResource (NS1 integration) is rather lovely ... what are you making?
(Are any of the above mutually exclusive)

@Aug24b It's not clear from the screenshot, but these are correction events in time order, so that'd be two separate corrections.

@Aug24b We're shipping the management part of it this quarter – I think that'll be a good excuse!

@elastic, thanks for the great work on Elastic UI! @gdndevelopers would like to use components from your framework, which is Elastic Licence 2.0, in an Apache 2.0 project. Are the two licences compatible in this way? We e-mailed elastic_license but have yet to hear back.

@mrb_barton @MostFoolhardy I saw this and thought of you. No, really.

@gtrufitt I had not! Thanks! I haven't yet given Tiptap a spin
– AFAICS we don't need the abstraction layer here – but I'm interested to take a look at its interface, it seems well-liked

@mrb_barton @preetholt @KingsPlace Hm, without @mrb_barton, we appear to be ❄️, physically. But, less cool in the other way, so the cosmic scales remain balanced ⚖️

@preetholt @KingsPlace The aircon failed in my office today so it must have been me every time

@Aug24 @gdndevelopers It's done for articles, and really does just work, which is encouraging. Also allows us to delegate UI responsibilities in a framework-agnostic way (no more Angular!). Caveat – by 'document', I mean doc content (in our model, a 'block'). So, headlines sadly still out of scope 😅
English

@js_herbert @gdndevelopers That sounds like - when finished - it’ll be amazing.
