It’s confirmed Secondary Coach Doug Belk will not return to USC in 2026. @USCJ32 had it first. It’s speculation that the new defensive coordinator will either bring in his own staff or will oversee the position group himself. Gary Patterson coached secondary early in his career.

Apologies, I get so many replies and alerts every day it is impossible to keep up with it all. Personally, I'm not going to think of things as a date anymore with this envrionment. There will be a push inside the Big Ten to try and get a new system put in place within a couple of years. I'd be surprised if a new system isn't in place by 2030. In a new system, I can easily see Miami being in the Big Ten, especially if the cap is removed, as Miami would be aligned with the Big Ten in that line of thinking. The SEC wants to go the other direction. But don't get me wrong, it would be much more than just a Miami and Florida State going to the Big Ten, but a much larger swatch of schools that align with the Big Ten thinking with revenue share, rules, and NIL....Cal, Stanford, maybe a BYU, Miami, FSU, probably a Texas school or two....a new league to provide enough competiton.

The girls battled really hard today. A short handed USC team went toe to toe with top 15 Maryland. Questionable calls, but proud of their overall effort. Tough close loss, without Kennedy Smith but saw a lot of fight from the team. Better days still ahead
