Mayor Bowser inspects the @DCPoliceDept new Drone Unit at the South Capitol Street heliport. MPD will use 5 drones to assist in suspicious packages, barricades and pursuit cases as needed. The drones are US-made @Parrot ANAFI drones.

@DCPSChancellor You should be more surprised to see teachers walking through the school doors every morning when our contract has been expired for 3 years!!! You should be surprised that I didn’t resign when you visited my classroom in November 2020 pre-vax and didn’t say hello or thank you.

Surprised to see this planned protest, given that we and the WTU had already planned to resume contract negotiations this Thursday and are scheduled to do so.

@dcresident73 @DMEforDC @MayorBowser They say…. yes. Because there is another clause that says if (and when) the contract expires it will be considered to remain in place until a new one is agreed upon. It was a big loss when those clauses were agreed to originally.
