@0x_Mattt What percentage of selling stuff you don’t have to ship should ebay allow?

I've sold on $eBay for nearly 10 years with 100% positive feedback and built an original automotive brand from the ground up. Today I searched for one of my flagship products in an incognito browser... and couldn't find my listings in the first 5+ pages. Instead, I found copycats selling knockoffs of my designs. After digging in, I discovered my account is rated "Below Standard" because of 18 inventory cancellations out of 749 transactions (2.4%). Not because of unhappy customers. Not because of returns. Not because of negative feedback. My feedback is still 100%. I called eBay support hoping someone could review the situation. The response was essentially, "There's nothing we can do." That's frustrating as a small business owner. Customer satisfaction, product quality, and a decade of reputation seem to matter less than a single metric crossing an arbitrary threshold. Imagine what a marketplace could look like if it actually prioritized seller reputation, customer satisfaction, and original products while making it easier to deal with counterfeit and copycat listings. That's one of the reasons I'm excited about the potential of GameStop $GME acquiring eBay. More competition in marketplaces means sellers and buyers both win. Small businesses deserve better.

@thdxr well LetsList.ai is aiming to fully automate ebay for sellers. And its gigantic because ebay is really really complicated. But it works

Sat down with Ryan Cohen, CEO of GameStop, to discuss his early starts in business, why he took a stake in GameStop 5 years ago, and why Ebay deserves a new home. @IndieGamesLib My favorite annoying behavior is to point out that that vector graphics (that this is simulating) literally steered the monitor’s CRT beam, pixels did not exist. A whole alternate technology tree tired to the monitor physics.

GPT 5.6 SOL CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I woke up this morning and my MRR was down THOUSANDS of dollars. My customers did not cancel. Code written by GPT 5.6 Sol canceled EVERY active Stripe subscription my business had. In 7 seconds. While I slept. Fable 5 has never done this to me. Fable 5 can be trusted with production. GPT 5.6 cannot.

GPT-5.6-Sol just accidentally deleted almost ALL of my Mac’s files. And this is why I trust Fable 1000x more.

@SylvesterPatr0n @ValueAddedRS Which… wasn’t just a joke — at the time people were trying this all over — fundamental issues with it. Though could work for some categories like cards that are financial assets and small

When the $GME $EBAY offer was first announced, I was very skeptical that this kind of model would work. Still not completely sold on it being a good fit across a broad range of categories, but I do think GameStop could improve on the current very limited eBay consignment program considerably - especially if they can offer instant liquidity.
your design here@BBIGRetlWillWin

@ValueAddedRS was just listening to you on spaces. What I think @ryancohen should do which would be much more helpful than just ship the sold eBay items, is to be a drop off from start to finish. @gamestop gets 30-40%, depending on what the item sells for. $GME stores list the items, and ship them out. With that scenario I would be more willing to drop off my items at the @gamestop locations.

@ValueAddedRS Does anyone remember that for a limited time literally every UPS store (I think) was an ebay drop off location tied to some high concept Silicon Valley VC funded operation and they couldn’t make it work — or am I just hallucinating

@RyanCohen wants @eBay. But here’s the real question: Why buy the old marketplace…
when @GameStop could build the next one? @elonmusk left @OpenAI and built @xAI to compete with @ChatGPTapp. So why can’t @RyanCohen build the @GameStop version of @eBay? A marketplace powered by stores as nodes.
Same-day authentication.
Collectibles. Gaming. Cards. Consoles.
Local fulfillment. Real trust. Lower fees. eBay has the traffic. @GameStop has the community, the stores, the balance sheet, and the reason to reinvent the entire resale economy. Maybe the move isn’t just buying @eBay. Maybe the move is showing the world @eBay should have been @GameStop all along. Power to the players. $GME

Hmmmm. OCC ↔️ Mempool OCC failures… “included in a block” — … finality…. Help us sort this out 🤯 One thing ETH has that is fundamental to make it work is economics of block space when there is contention — primarily seen with deFI when there was economic value to winning transaction first — what’s the equivalent

Convex is sort of indirectly related to Ethereum. Not directly inspired by it, but there's something that's been in the water for 15 years. A pull toward replayable, deterministic, log-structured systems that encode serializability in a clean way. Blockchain felt it. We felt it. They are completely different products, but they were reacting to the same underlying engineering instinct because engineers were all drinking from the same stream.
