@LincolnRestler Can you clarify if this bill seeks to subsidize the fare with tax dollars, cap the fare Lyft can charge, or both?

I love CitiBike, but costs of e-bike rides have skyrocketed to up to $10 per ride. I’m introducing a bill to cap e-bike rides at the cost of a subway fare. Bike share is an essential part of transit in NYC. It needs to be affordable & accessible for all. buff.ly/3MLba9S

@NYCParks I went to the pool today and they told me watches are now banned from all city pools. Why? How does one tell the time? The sun?

@MaraGay Agree 100%. It's too bad that the announcement missed the low hanging fruit of opening up the 30 or so DOE pools to the public and expanding the abysmal hours of the Parks Department pools.

@NYC_DOT @ydanis Vernon Bvld and 44th Drive in Queens, but there is a license plate that should make identifying the unit/driver easy. Thank you!

Today is the greatest day in New York City transportation history since the opening of the Brooklyn Bridge. The AirTrain has OMNY!!

@NYC_DOT Your survey has a design issue on question 8 where the respondent can only check one street for each design option. This renders the question meaningless since more than one street should be able to follow the same design option. DM me if you need more info.

@ebottcher Looking at the sign behind you, it looks like there are seven westbound trains in the next 30 minutes. That is pretty good service, no?

News Flash: NYC’s public transit from airports is a disgrace. Arrive late to JFK? Cough up at least $80 for an Uber or spend your evening waiting on deserted train platforms. NYC, we can do so much better!

@CitiBikeNYC Yo, the EKG for this station is looking bad. The line shows that zero bikes have been checked in or out over the past 24 hours but it actually has been dead for over a week. Can you go defibrillate it? H/t to the O'brien map for data.

@NYCEDC Is there any plan to improve the boarding process? The workers and customers really struggle with scanning the QR codes and it makes the boarding process take way too long. Why can't we just tap our phones? The MTA is running laps around your technology!

Last month we turned 10! It's hard to imagine NYC without being able to grab a Citi Bike when you need it. But did you know how hard it was to get started? Read the history of Citi Bike and meet the people who helped along the way. (@RevByLyft) lyft.com/rev/posts/floo…

Great job @vmquirk capturing the wild ride of Citi Bike in its early days. I think the article captures perfectly how Citi Bike’s success was the product of collaboration and team work rather than the frequent start-up narrative of a single founder bulldozing their way to success

Amazing mega thread by Jon on Citi Bike’s history. Thanks Jon for getting the story out there and being a big part of making it happen!
Jon Orcutt@jonorcutt

Creating CitiBike mega-🧵! It began 16 yrs ago. NYC had released a new 🌎 plan & Mayor Bloomberg had recruited @JSadikKhan to set a new transportation direction. Janette noted our early interest in what Paris was doing in the recent @Curbed 10-yr piece: curbed.com/2023/05/citi-b…

@paperlesspost Thank you for your response. I will send an email to help@. I have some ideas on how the product should function, in case you are looking for customer input from a dad who would like to be included in their children's invites :)

@justinginsburgh Thanks for calling this out Justin! As parents ourselves, we know there’s a need for this feature, and our Product team has been looking to implement it. We’d love to hear from you at help@paperlesspost.com (mailto:help@paperlesspost.com) if we can help with a workaround.

@paperlesspost , why can't your product allow someone to send one invite to two people? This means that moms inevitably get 99% of the invites to children's birthday parties, which is not fair to expect them to shoulder the mental load of calendar management!

You could also charge more for this since your model is a pay per invite, so it is win-win.
