@Vicious_season @JeffriesOliver @ScottPurdue8 @BasilTheGreat "More than half (65%) of the increase in the UK population between 2004 and 2023 was due to the direct contribution of net migration. Since 2020, almost all of the growth in the population has come from net migration."

@mxnnft @NoticerNews Perth is over 40% foreign-born. It's a 2 hour drive away. If you look at videos of the popular tourist attractions in Busselton, you will get a better idea of the demographic makeup.

@Rodrick_Steel @MentisWave Had Epstein turned out not to be racist/right-leaning, they would've told us we're *worse* than a satanic pedophile ("not even HE is racist, chud"). It's not an argument, just an opportunity to attack.

‘Yookay Dreamscape’ has evolved into a entire genre of AI videos - hallucinatory vignettes of modern Britain mixed with surrealist elements that exist in a liminal nowhere space but that are also ‘hyperreal’ - somehow more real than real life. A compilation of the best videos 🧵

@redhookmarket1 @jonatanpallesen @StatisticUrban That's why he's asking "how much is too much?" For water: it's probably 3–5 litres. Also, whereas we can't survive without a foreign source of water, a nation can potentially sustain itself in isolation.

Skilled immigration is nearly a purely positive sum policy with no tradeoffs for the recipient country. So naturally, the American right hates it.

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell It's not the worst deal, as long as they don't fall into the trap of "starting a new life" here. They can always (or at least for a long while) decide to return home with their capital at advantageous rates.

Okay, I get that it can be quite intimidating to see foreigners come in doves no matter legal or illegal, violent or non-violent it can be unsettling I believe EU is doing this because they already see the problem of pensions for the aged population that's about hit it in the next 50 years. This deal is actually really bad for the Indians that will pay that pension, unless they get to stay and receive benefits for the taxes they paid but I guess today's leadership just wants to kick the can down so this is their solution

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell Yeah, nobody (especially the geriatric-occupied government) gives two shits about the future. I'd say the pension problem is concurrent: our (white English) population is declining, the demographic pyramid is worsening, and TFR keeps falling. We kinda brought it on ourselves.

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell Just know that I am way past the point of "coming to terms" with anyone on this matter. I do not care what explanation is given, because the outcome is pretty much unparalleled in Europe since the mass expulsion of Germans from East Prussia.

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell The reason I said Coventry felt completely alien is because I saw maybe 1 white person for every 20 in the city centre. Coventry was 100% white only a few generations ago. Where are their descendants? It's disingenuous to say that they "all just spontaneously decided to leave".

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell The "existential threat" part is a primal response that I don't think can (or should be, in a cost-benefit context) be mitigated, especially as the demographics diversify further. There needs to remain a stable, visible majority, particularly in less financially-oriented areas.

@Deccaner @Tom_Rowsell It's not really a change, insofar as we're being wholly replaced ("low TFR necessitates mass immigration", etc.). What radicalised me was living in Coventry for a few months; the city is completely alien. No amount of reasoning will convince me that is not an existential threat.

There are EU countries where 20% of the youth are unemployed and mostly with bachelors degrees, looking for and unable to get work. Because for some reason Europe needs “highly skilled workers” from the country that only recently figured out how to manage sewage.
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NEW - EU signs an "agreement on mobility," with India facilitating "the movement of students, researchers, seasonal and highly skilled workers," and launches the "first EU Legal Gateway Office in India" to support Indian talent moving to Europe."

@Achristotle @cremieuxrecueil It's one of the most natural things. Most people have very few notable accomplishments of their own, so they instead take pride in their peripheral role. There's nothing wrong with that.
