@AnonSocials @railnigel If crew diagrams have been released then this would already be disclosed by nature of it being in black and white on the diagram, I do however doubt that crew diagrams have been released. I’m not going to get into it any further.

@jxson_95 @railnigel They're on a hiding to nowhere if they don't disclose that, as they've previously released all the diagrams anyway. Even if it does say that on the diagram, there's no regulation that forces Northern to actually require that, which is what they've confirmed.

….but it’s a management decision to leave the train locked. There is no requirement to do this. Lots of TOCs do.
NORTHERN 🚆@northernassist

@DevonJ58 @railnigel Hello Devon, sometimes our crew may be on other services or having their break in-between workings and this is why they may show up separately and potentially closer to departure time.

@AnonSocials @railnigel There is an instruction. Diagrams state to ‘secure unit’ (drivers) and ‘dispose’ (guards), sometimes even if the train is going back out 12 minutes later. A FOI request likely won’t provide that detail as it will be considered sensitive/security.

@railnigel I FOId them on this, and some of the station operators. There is no Northern instruction that anyone can actually find that requires trains to be locked/unavailable at a station. It seems to have developed as internal culture with a mythical belief that somehow it's safety.

M&S seems set on gaslighting women. We’ve written to senior leadership to warn that advertising male and female changing rooms but operating them as mixed-sex facilities could amount to indirect discrimination and harassment against women.

@LNER just been told no taxi to get us home at DON ‘because it’s EID so all the taxi drivers are at home’. We’re now 2 and a bit hours late and have missed all last public transport home

Hi @Tesco One of your vans hit myself and my dog just before christmas. I submitted a SAR but they haven’t gotten back to me, it’s been over a month now. The store manager also still hasn’t bothered to get in touch. I require the dash cam footage for the police

Meh. GWR upsetting mumsie by rejecting a genuine delay claim. Appealed three times and rejected again, now saying its a duplicate claim. They've said they can't find a timetabled service that matches the details given. Alright, who operated 1A80 on 15.06? Iskiwiskiwoowah trains?

@JakeWrightUK i’ve found the ikea bulbs to not be as good longer term, and the colour/temperature reproduction just isn’t as good as with hue. they’re good for the price, and way more economical, but I use hue for the lights that I use daily because they tend to be that much better

My flat contains: • 17 smart bulbs • 19 regular bulbs 14 of the smart bulbs are IKEA. I think they’re now an obvious choice over Hue: much, much cheaper and the published CRI tends to be higher.

@ABitOfPork @GarethDennis The comparison here would be the Shinkansen, which is more similarly priced to UK long distance services, such as LNER. However, you get a different level of service and speed for that.

@GarethDennis I’ve just been in Tokyo for 10 days, used various trains every day, and spent a total of £40. They were clean, safe, regular and punctual. It wouldn’t cost me more for a one day Travelcard in London for my family. Privatisation does not work.

@SimonLester24 @philatrail it’s part of the pay and benefits. much like every other workplace has pay and benefits. mcdonalds staff get free food whilst on shift, as a benefit, should they not get that because the rest of us have to pay?

Private train operator owning groups offered staff free travel across the operators in their group using dated ‘box’ passes. SWR staff lost their First Group operator access last night. Do they now receive DFTO group access? I’m hearing not but happy to be corrected.

@backstage_boss @RailUKForums @LNER if you look, they haven’t. lner have chosen to not show any walk up standard class fares for that train. the 14:32 shows a standard class fare.

LNER are urging their customers to "book direct", and not sites such as ours. Why do they do this? Check out the prices, to see why... 1343 Newcastle to Kings Cross £318.20 with LNER £77.48 from us We also offer a seat selector, so why should people book direct with @LNER ?

So, this afternoon I got home to find a lovely letter from @northernassist telling me about how they wanted to prosecute me for using the below ticket to travel on the specified route at a peak time. I paid £1.90 less than the fare they say I should have paid. A thread 🧵

@PME_Politics @DEFarnes @SamMarkWill @Sanny_Rudra @northernassist But when you add a railcard you are agreeing to follow the railcard rules also. The pre 10am, £12 minimum fare has long been a rule and is also clearly obvious when booking a ticket as tickets prior to 10am were not discounted.

@jxson_95 @DEFarnes @SamMarkWill @Sanny_Rudra @northernassist If their ticket says Anytime Single, then the vendor has sold them an Anytime Single, and as far any reasonable customer is concerned, they can travel in accordance to the T&Cs of an Anytime Single. If they should not be able to do that, they should not be sold an Anytime Single
