@homahoops I think his biggest problem is he doesn't actually hold his screens, and even on hand-offs he's tryna actively avoid bodies. Not sure if its bcuz he's worried about injury to his lower body (he has long legs) but maybe. The avoiding bodies thing shows up in rebounding too

I felt a 1-gm suspension was bare minimum And the fact that they're bending rules in favor of which side of the encounter a superstar is on is incredibly dangerous

Maybe the worst comparison ever. They played so different, I can't imagine seeing Brown taking on that role. Browns more comparable to a demar derozan, than a jimmy butler (in terms of playstyle). Butler was a pest defensively, underrated playmaker, took care of the ball, played off ball better. Very interesting if this is what the sixers are expecting

@MichaelOnSports Yeah I understand that but if Stirtz is just a jump shooter that can’t create advantages then it’s a disappointment considering Phillon and Okorie were on the board when Stirtz was drafted Also he looks worse defensively than Joe so I’m not sure what his role would even be

@k1353231 Not a shot at Stirtz, but he isn't the passer/playmaker that Topić is, and he doesn't have the same vision either. Stirtz is a combo guard who can play on the ball, but I think he might be best used more off it to weaponize his shooting gravity. Topić is more of a classic PG.

I feel like we'd be seeing a much different version of Aday Mara if Nikola Topić were playing. Not an excuse, but I think having a true point guard who is searching to set guys up would be super helpful for him in this kind of environment to get him in more of a rhythm.
