We went to have lunch at @FordsGarage near the outlets in Lake Buena Vista, and was told this location works on a system where it’s not only your waiter helping you, but the entire staff. I said that’s fine. (Isn’t that how most restaurants work?) Then they told me because of that, there’s a mandatory 20% fee on the bill that goes towards them. So I asked if that included the tip for our waiter. They said no, it’s on top of that. So we left. It’s crazy they expect us to pay a 40% fee (assuming I’d leave a 20% tip) for their staff on top of the bill! At least I’m glad the hostess told me before we were seated. I was surprised the place was packed.
