Might I also add that it does not always show up on the stat sheet.

@CoachFrese As a fan, these players are some of my favorites to watch and cheer for! Nothing quite like a well-timed rebound, defensive pressure forcing a turnover, or coming up with the possession on a 50/50 ball. Effort plays shift momentum for the fanbase in addition to helping the team.

Cheryl Reeve on having to cut players in training camp (A good long quote if you have the time to listen) “I mean you try not to be transactional… realizing that you might do this everyday or every year multiple times (but) it’s their first time, and so being respectful of that and then also having the understanding that they’ve never been cut before. They are being paid to play college basketball, they were recruited heavily, they are one of the best players on their team and they just don’t experience the “hey you didn’t make this team” very often. It’s making sure they understand it’s not the end, right? Maybe it’s the time here but it’s the beginning of their professional career… the proper way of looking at it is what we focus on”

For some of you all to be so called fans - who needs critics 😂 Imagine having so little faith in people who want to actually play for your team-college and W. Don’t circle back when they’re on the up and up when you didn’t support them when they were down. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The scoreline only tells half the story. Tonight in Kansas City, @DtigressNG went toe to toe with the Minnesota Lynx in a historic clash that proved one thing, Nigerian basketball belongs on the global stage. Narrowly missing the win doesn't dim the shine of this performance.

Despite the loss, Nigeria women's national basketball team gave a really encouraging showing. Ezinne Kalu led the way with 25 points, setting the tone with her usual composure, while Gabby Williams added 16 points and continues to look more comfortable running the point, especially this early into her run with the team. Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah chipped in 11 solid points, showing her presence, and Uche Izoje’s 8 points, largely from that smooth mid-range, gave the offense nice balance. Veterans like Promise Amukamara (5 points) still bring leadership that doesn’t always show on the stat sheet. Honestly, this group is building something exciting. #ballchatwithkenny
