@mwfowlie @Coolestkapital @traskjd @actparty That is an entirely ahistorical set of claims. Yet another Twitter user incapable of understanding nuance, and unable to see the world through the lens of other cultural perspectives.

Uh no. The Treaty is a very small scoped document which does little more than exchange sovereignty for citizenship, and go over the benefits of citizenship in a long and redundant way.
It was a one time deal for the people alive at the time. Their descendants do not get their citizenship from the Treaty, they get citizenship from their parents per the usual process.
Today, the Treaty is almost completely irrelevant and anything that says otherwise is convenient legal fiction.

@realSellers1 @RoyalFamily Sure. So manly that your insecurity goes off the charts when met with a woman in power.
English

@katipojr @RoyalFamily At least I am man enough to put my real picture. Coward
English

@Red_Squirrel_UK @RoyalFamily That's not my view but if it's yours, then I don't see why the King doesn't have responsibility to commomwealth citizens as much as Britons.
English

@katipojr @RoyalFamily What by trading with the world, bringing them out of the stone age and building the most successful countries on the planet?
English

@fabiodeuxbeer Complimented the nurse at my electroshock therapy on her optimal foid gait and she turned up the voltage :(

Magnus Vigsø@MagnusVigso
One of the most attractive things a woman can have is not a big butt or breasts It it to have proper biomechanics Gait pattern > Any superficial features
English

@realSellers1 @RoyalFamily And your goatee looks like a ballsack 🤷🏻♂️
English

@RoyalFamily She still has that licorice stain on her mouth.
English

@Tairmuir @RoyalFamily Because not every part of the world conceives of sovereignty as universal and singular. If you hadn't noticed, there were already people and their leaders here when the Crown got involved. That is protected in the Treaty.
English

@RoyalFamily Is that his NZ wife then or else Im confused, how can NZ have two monarchs?
English

@Red_Squirrel_UK @RoyalFamily Shouldn't have gone out colonising other places then. You guys have scored an own goal on this one
English

@RoyalFamily "The King" seems to care about everyone but the Native Britons.
English

@80lemoyne @RoyalFamily @real_dr_roy The search up and down the country for a king/queen turned up no results, so it fell back on Waikato and it's stayed there since. Outside of Waikato it's usually seen as useful for unity building and advocating for Māori interests in colonial spaces, not as a sovereign monarchy.
English

@80lemoyne @RoyalFamily @real_dr_roy But it's not a typically Māori way of doing things. Tribes have their own customs and their own leaders to represent then. A pan-Māori monarch was so counterintuitive that nobody wanted to put the hand up to represent other tribes that weren't theirs.

@winstonpeters @TheZeitgeistNZ when we say that the elite use immigration to distract us from class and wealth, this is what we mean
English

Chris Hipkins has said today that “The kiwi dream should not be reserved for the few, it should be delivered for everybody who calls New Zealand home.”
He has just called New Zealanders “the few” and that “everybody” should be delivered what we have built.
The ‘kiwi dream’ belongs to kiwis who have worked hard for our country, invested time, sweat, pride, and belongs to the generations who share in our country’s history. It is not for just anybody around the world who decides to come to our great country that we have built for their convenience.
Politicians like Hipkins use “diversity is a strength” to shut you down, but the choice is in your hands, not in the hands of retail globalists like him.

@BrummyOnTheBeat @thereisnobeth @localtryansfem both from west coast cities that are effectively cut off from the rest of society
English

@wlaotearoa @Daffwena Bingo - if most citizens are getting almost $20k a year does that not cover off the land tax, rates, water, and a good chunk of the mortgage for those for whom a citizens' income would just be extra money in the pocket?
English

@Tiare_MP idk have you seen the state of other channels around the world? i feel like ours is fairly good for the size of the country. americans still appear to be using 480p resolution cameras lmao
English

@SkypeSpringham @BasicBishopNZ I never had issues with my personal banking there. When my old org was hacked and money was taken, though, which was in some part their fault, they froze our accounts for MONTHS and required two staff members to travel to the one remaining branch across town to withdraw money.
English

@BasicBishopNZ I don't understand why people dislike banking with them? I've never banked with anyone else, so what makes them so bad/the others so much better?
English

@DoubleElnz @dreadconquest And also not true about English Queen either. "The English Queen" is appropriate because she would be a singular sovereign over England. "Māori Queen" is indefinite and leaves room for those iwi who don't see her as their rangatira.
English

@katipojr @dreadconquest Splitting hairs over "a" vs "the" while the actual point flies over your head. By that logic "a English Queen" and "Queen of England" are completely different people.
Remarkable contribution, truly.
English

racists say this about anyone wearing facial moko, but it’s especially funny to see an idiot like this somehow miss the part where she is a queen

Chocscotty 🇳🇿🏴🇮🇪🏴@chocscotty
@Dame__Jane I wonder what honourable thing they have done to deserve the Moko in the first place lol
