🚨 Global Affairs Canada spending (2017 - 23)🚨 From fiscal year 2017 - 23, there has been $52B spent by the GAC department of International Assistance of Canada. Among the data, I have seen that there has been 91.1% increase in the IA spending from 2021-22 and 2022-23. Out of $52B, Africa received $18B in funds making it the first among all the countries receiving money during this time. But factoring in only Countries and not continents, Ukraine received the highest with $5.845B in funds from Canada. Major sectors they work on are below. - Heath & Sexual and Reproductive rights - Other Aid Expenditures - Humanitarian Expenditures - Governance - Education - Energy The one thing that comes common and significant policy marker is - Gender Equality with 56.8% of total funds allocated to this.
