I generally attend the TLM, so many elements were familiar, but it was one of the most beautiful liturgies I've experienced. This blessing was made ever better by time shared with great friends. Thank you, @BreeSolstad

I got to bring my friend @KeithNester1 to his first ever Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy yesterday!

@redeemed_zoomer I went there and now I’m Catholic. Get ready.

@KeithNester1 did you pick up the guitar and sing country roads? That would've been great if you did

@TheDarrenator Thanks brother. Ironically, one commenter said they can no longer follow me because I give off “trying to be a cool guy”vibes, which is not Catholic, but Protestant. This is funny considering this video has literally no production.

@KeithNester1 That was a good Grandpa talk. Thanks for sharing.
Things to consider, especially when pride and division are so rampant.

@JesusTruckerHat @JoshuaTCharles I don’t recall the context of how I said that.
English

@JoshuaTCharles @keithnester1 I’ve heard you say Judeo-Christian and it sounds off to me, especially coming from you. This is a good explanation of why. #respectfully I listen to your Unpacking The Mass every week. Thank you! 🙏

“Christian” includes all that was Jewish before Christ and was fulfilled by Him.
“Judeo” includes all that is Jewish since Christ, and is premised on rejecting Him.
Hence the incompatibility.
Christians embrace the religion of the Old Testament through their embrace of the religion that fulfills and completes it: the Catholic Faith.
We do not embrace the religion of post-Christ ethnic Jews who have distorted that Old Testament in order to deny their Messiah.
Thus, there is no need for “Judeo” to modify “Christian.” All is complete, pure, and fulfilled in “Christian.”
Hence, after the coming of Christ, “Judeo-Christian” is an oxymoron. It’s like saying “Antichrist-Christ.” It’s incoherent and nonsensical.
No one requires equivocal, distorting, propagandistic words and terms to articulate the TRUTH of Christ. He stands alone, complete, fulfilled, and fulfilling.
We reject nothing that was Jewish and pointed toward Him. We reject everything that is Jewish that continues to reject Him.
Christ is King.

The term "Judeo-Christian" has sparked a lot of debate on the right lately. When people talk about America's "Judeo-Christian values," they're not claiming the Founding Fathers were Jewish. They're referring to the shared biblical worldview that has shaped the West: that we're made in the image of God, that our rights come from our Creator—not the government—and that every human being has inherent dignity. And the truth is, Jesus was a Jew, and His Jewish identity is a key part in the history of Christianity.

@KeithNester1 Hi Keith. Really enjoyed your interview with Steve Deace! What Catholic Bible do you recommend for folks newer to the faith and returning to the church? Thanks!

@KeithNester1 Hi Keith, you offered me some great advice almost a year ago. This last Easter both my wife and I came into full communion with the church. We are now walking with friends of ours as they enter OCIA! Thanks again for the encouragement, see you in Steubenville this weekend.

@KeithNester1 Hi Keith, previous associate/youth pastor here currently on the path of conversion. I want to create a resource that speaks directly to friends and family of people like us addressing concerns from a more Protestant perspective. I would love your input, thank you!
English

@KeithNester1 Judging by his comment though…I think you got the ball rolling!
