Ezra and Cleo Teeters of Waverly, Ohio met as children, growing up in the same neighborhood and riding the bus together. They got married in 1945 and have now spent over eight wonderful decades together. This year, both Ezra and Cleo will celebrate their 100th birthdays! I was honored to join Director Mortimer of the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, VSO officers, and veterans from across OH-02 in a Veterans Roundtable in Jackson this morning. We discussed the importance of our Heroes having safe and affordable places to live, VA eligibility after discharge, benefits for spouses after death, and heard an update from Director Mortimer on operations at the Chillicothe VA. Advocating for veterans’ needs is a top priority of mine in Congress, and I value hearing directly from them about the challenges they’re experiencing.
