Meta is shutting down their metaverse. This trend was blindly funded and years later, still nothing to show. ASI is currently being blindly funded to a much larger degree with nothing to show. Are we going to wait 5-6 years for results this time?

Two important points: 1. Devs “can” fine tune DLSS 5 functionality if they choose. More than likely - similar to RT - they will be pressured not to in order to save time. 2. Gamers “can turn off DLSS 5.” Some games force upscaling and RT. This may be the same later.

My expectation will be that @NVIDIAGeForce will provide public verification each time a developer uses DLSS 5 to execute their creative discretion in a video game. Otherwise, I simply don't purchase their products or the games that are used to advertise it.

Unless DLSS 5 turns out to be an elaborate April Fool’s joke, this marks the end of my support for Nvidia as a consumer. Not that they care since they no longer invest in gaming and are content to over-charge for slight upgrades in real performance each gen.

@PirateSoftware I do disagree with that take because I don’t want every game to look like a 3D animated feature film, but it does look terrible.

This legitimately looks terrible to me. Not everything needs to be hyper-realistic. Stylized art between different games makes them memorable.
