It’s his opinion. I tend to agree but could also see where you’re coming from.

We’ve won less than 7 games once (Covid) since 2016. There is no span that successful in the history of the football program

KSR talking for 45 minutes straight about why UK can’t be successful at football and 6 wins should be celebrated. It’s a toxic mindset that only holds the program back. I thought we had gotten away from it a bit, but it seems like the expectations are now rock bottom again

I havent waded into this but if you think 8-4 with wins over Florida, South Carolina, Louisville, and Auburn would be a disappointment I think the issue is your appraisal of the overall landscape. If 7 for a 3rd straight year would make you think "plateau" then thats fair.

@MattSakR2NG @BBN_Commenter I’d argue you get a very insular perspective on this. Many fans go thru this. Many teams lose winnable games in the SEC. We just see it more. And I don’t think that’s what he’s saying, I think he’s saying if UK fans think they should win every game they are wrong.

@kennyralph69 @BBN_Commenter How so? Last year Missouri had 11 wins with a less talented (based on recruiting and draft stock) roster. He peaked in 2018-21 and been headed downhill ever since.
Also, one 10-win season since the other was vacated.

@Slushie88 @BBN_Commenter Calling them mediocre seems to stem mostly from people having too high of expectations in the beginning of the year. An SEC championship birth is a damn hard thing to do. Now if you say there’s some games we shouldn’t have lost, sure. But everyone does that

When are you going to learn that just because you beat a team doesn’t mean you’re better overall.
Just because Kentucky matches up better against Louisville doesn’t make them a better team nationally.
