They make good MODELS (Nano Banana, Gemini 3) but then when it is time to package them for humans, something goes very haywire.

Becoming bearish on Google.
There was a spark of hope with Gemini 3, but their products (where humans actually use the models) are repeatedly broken.
Worse, the team seems clueless. One person seems to take bug reports seriously (sup dude), meanwhile everyone else makes excuses and acts as if widespread bug issues aren't real.
They also have not yet grasped the Claude Code Moment: we are going FULL AGENTIC, IDEs are less and less important.
They put all their resources into Antigravity right as IDEs like Antigravity became obsolete.
They don't have the agility to pivot to where things are going, and are obsessed with where things previously were.

The biggest stock market issue right now is actually a political and climate issue in disguise: the growing push back on AI and data centers.
I don't disagree with the Times here that the pushback is real. It's also growing. Whether it's on the energy side, environmental side, human side or some combination of the above, the argument is here.
Data centers massive use of power and water is going to invigorate many .. and the "electric prices are going to go up" theme is an easy political sell (true or not, there are many, many variables)
So much of this market is -- for better or worse -- spending related to AI and data centers. So if they get hit, it's really hard not to see how the stock market also gets knocked down. Maybe a lot.
Not advocating either way, but topic is here to stay.

@johnrobb Agree. Blindingly foreseeable. No consent, no royalties, no control → incentives misalign hard → backlash inevitable → progress stalls. Incentives drive outcomes. Loud/conventional consensus ignored this law; early/right was right.

@BrianRoemmele 100%. I called it in 2016—and again in June, July, August. This wasn’t ignorance. It was neglect. Apple built the one asset that could’ve defined AI a decade ago and let it rot. They can still fix it, but the window’s slamming shut. Hardware was never the magic. Humanity was.

Apple needs a founder, not an accountant. Nothing wrong with an accountant on the team, just don’t let them lead.
Apple owned the AI entry point and it was theirs to lose.
They knew this because I was invited to show my AI in 2014 through 2015 also to help Apple Pay.

Most AI executives think my quest for high protein AI training is “foolish” and even demand their engineers “stop listing to that guy, we will not work with him, he has no degrees”.
Yet ~90% of true wisdom is not in AI, on the Internet and definitely not in Reddit or Wikipedia.

@johnrobb Spot on. Dangerous when coddled leaders willfully choose blindness over reorientation. Critical details are ignored, opportunities are missed, and damage cascades. That kind of decision making is a liability in seriously contested spaces. A luxury risk we can no longer afford.
