You know my obsession with La Sagrada Família, and I love that Lego is doing this, but a 12,000 piece Lego set sounds like a unique form of torture

Joseph, Patrick was a 5th century christian, undistinguishable by denomination, because none existed at the time. God used him for amazing work in first saving Ireland and then the Irish saved Europe. It is only now since the reformation that he is considered catholic. In reality, he is Christian and we can all bask in his accomplishments. JimB

The number of people who clearly use AI to craft basic posts on this site, and replies to posts, is pretty shocking. Once you learn how to spot AI writing, you see it absolutely everywhere on here. It’s unmistakable. The tech has existed for 10 seconds and already huge swaths of people have completely given up on even the simplest forms of creative writing.

I am still searching for a church to call my home, but recent discoveries about the doctrines and behavior of many Christians—especially as they relate to war and eschatology—have repelled me from evangelical denominations and drawn me toward the Catholic Church.

@CarriePrejean1 The very first church was not Catholic , it was the apostles and converts meeting in homes.

I’ve always wondered why so many Protestant evangelicals hate the Catholic Church. Because the Catholic Church requires humility. It requires submitting to the authority Christ established. Protestantism was born from rejecting that authority. Since the reformation is has caused chaos and division. Once you reject the Church Christ founded, there is nothing left but the individual. Everyone becomes their own interpreter of Scripture, their own authority, their own final judge of truth. That’s why there are tens of thousands of denominations all claiming the Holy Spirit while contradicting each other. Thats why Eric Metaxas hates Catholicism. He can’t stand the idea that we have a Holy Father who leads the Church, guarding the faith handed down from the apostles. The problem is that many Protestant evangelicals like Eric do have a pope; Themselves.
Joe Enders@JendersII

Eric Metaxas remains on the religious liberty commission, as he insults our Holy Father. Meanwhile they're attempting to kick @CarriePrejean1 off the commission for perennial Catholic beliefs. Catholics, wake up. Your religious freedom is under attack by heretical Zionists.

@MattWalshBlog Selfish people are not miserable, narcissists are. There's nothing more selfish than creating mini versions of yourself. I recommend giving Ayn Rand a try, you might like her.

Two things here: 1) This is a false choice. You can have plenty of disposable income while also having kids. You can even have “lazy weekends.” Maybe not quite as lazy but still pretty lazy. The idea that you have to give up one to have the other is a reflection of your own lack of imagination and ambition. It’s not some kind of law inscribed into the cosmos. 2) There is only one thing that will make you chronically miserable as a parent and that thing is selfishness. Immense joys are available to parents — a unique kind of happiness that non-parents cannot experience — but those joys do require you to pull your head out of your own ass for long enough to experience them. If you can’t, or refuse to, then yeah you’ll be miserable all the time. But the good news (if you want to call it that) is that selfish people are miserable no matter what they do, whether they have kids or not, so there’s still no need to feel regret.
New York Magazine@NYMag

Sooner or later, everyone has to decide whether to give up lazy weekends, disposable income, and overall peace of mind to have a baby instead. For many of those on the fence, one anxiety looms large: What if I make the wrong choice? Parent regret is more common than you might think — the r/regretfulparents sub-Reddit alone gets around 70,000 weekly visitors who anonymously commiserate — though stigma makes it hard to admit in real life. Writer Bindu Bansinath speaks with three moms of young children about why they wish they could go back to their old lives: nymag.visitlink.me/Sv0c_9

Trump is a standard we must elect for POTUS yes he’s the best ever, which means we need to pass a law allowing another exception and that’s when an exceptional American citizen who has shown next level talent and loyalty to America but was not born here can run for POTUS if nominated, Trump should do the obvious pave the way for Elon Musk to be our next POTUS!

Whoa… that’s a bold move for sure 😳. A school running 7 days a week, year-round? I can see why people are raising eyebrows — it’s a huge demand for both students and teachers. On one hand, it could mean more learning opportunities and flexibility. On the other… burnout city is real, and weekends exist for a reason 😅. This is definitely going to spark a big debate about work-life balance and the future of education in NYC.

Steve Witkoff reports that the Iranians bragged about their enrichment and said they would not give up diplomatically what the US could not take militarily. I suspect the Iranian leadership would be regretting that choice now were any of them still alive.
