1/2 Monday 22 Jan: a contractor of @northyorksc tore the cables on a telegraph pole, cutting ours (& others) internet connection. Reported immediately to @bt_uk. @WeAreOpenreach aware Tuesday 23 Jan; classify as a 'Major Service Outage' as multiple properties impacted.

@DavidDouglasEDI @NaughtyDrivers That’s a really insightful comment. We should ban all dual-carriageways/ motorways etc where cars pass other cars, quite closely at times, for fear they might ‘scratch the paintwork’. Phew; we can all sleep easy now…

Cyclists, Stop wearing earphones and pay attention to the bloody road. You need spatial awareness to stay alert. Especially when you're cycling alongside cars. If we have to stay alert, so should you.

I assume his van had one of those ‘windscreen’ thingies he was able to see thru as he approached 2 cyclists (before pulling up in the ASL). Not tough observation skills 👀

Probably should have held back longer because he clearly didn’t give a shit about us in the first place, but he changed his mind what direction he was going in and so I was obviously dispensable. This is why ASLs are needed. #cycling in #Sheffield
