2 things about Nolan's Odyssey that seem off but aren't 1. Zeus' law as a Christian "treat others as..." 2. Sea Peoples

Are you defending a weird little troon? Is that’s what’s going on here? You seem unwilling to accept the concept that Ellen has a mental disorder, and a highly delusional thought process. Didn’t want to take the fun comment here, but you apparently want to. A tiny girl, pretending to be a man, being cast as a “warrior” in one of the greatest stories ever written… …is a woke farce.

@basedspinach @ScottMGreer Yes and no. The character's name isn't Achilles, but she took his story. Called the greatest warrior alive and also met Odysseus in Hades like Achilles did.

It was a packed house when I saw the Odyssey this afternoon. It’s probably going to be a success, which means every libtard will try to force takes about how this is a YUGE defeat for the Right.

@VigilantFox I want to see an Odyssey movie, with 100% Greek actors, spoken in Greek (I'll happily read the movie), with authentic armor/weapons in a shot for shot adaptation of the poem with modern day effects.

Piers Morgan read the open letter Greeks wrote after learning Christopher Nolan's $250,000,000 epic “The Odyssey” cast not one Greek actor. “Greek people did not disappear after the age of myth. Greek culture was not frozen in classical marble. Greek language was not extinguished in antiquity. We are STILL HERE!”

@HomerPavlos Imagine how great it could have been if they had chosen a fully Greek cast. It could have been a wonderful opportunity for some up and coming Greek actors. They mock our cultures/history to demoralise us.

Today I learned that in Nolan’s movie "Odyssey," there is a line: "Sinon was the greatest warrior among the Greeks." Sinon is not mentioned in Homer at all, and in the film he is played by a woman. Now look at what’s happening. We Greeks are forced to listen to barbarians telling us that the movie is amazing, while watching our Greek civilization being mocked on screen, and being told that the greatest warrior of the Greeks is Sinon, played by a woman. In other words, we Greeks are forced to watch a film based on our own history and our ancestors, and if we disagree with what we see or get angry about it, then we are called racists and puppets of Elon Musk. That’s what they tell us. So from now on, the purpose of my life will be to turn as many people as possible against all those academics and classicists who supported this abomination, this thing that mocks Greek culture, takes the greatest and most important Greek epic poem, and turns it into a "fairy tale." No, it is not a fairy tale. It is our Greek history. They are our Greek ancestors. And we have every right to express our opinion, to demand proper representation in the casting, and to demand that Greek academics and historians oversee the script and the historical authenticity of films that exploit Greek civilization to make money in our name. Enough with the exploitation, the propaganda, and the distortion.

@konglivesagain @esjesjesj Ah yes, the greatest Greek Warrior who appears to Odysseus in Hades is of course, Sinon in the Odyssey. We have an intellectual supergiant here.

I just want to know whether or not The Odyssey is a badass Gladiator type of movie that feels like it was made twenty or thirty years ago when blockbusters felt like blockbusters. I could give a shit less about your politics.

@Kevlardog @esjesjesj So in The Odyssey, Achilles takes Antinous’ place to go to war? Which book and page does that happen in?

@konglivesagain @esjesjesj The point is that "Sinon" takes Achilles' role in the Odyssey. Sinon does not appear to Odysseus in any version. He is never called the greatest warrior in any version. If you enjoyed that, good for you. This idea that Sinon is a weakling is hilarious. He survived 10 years of war

@Observe_It68 @EndWokeness @poetinpinkshoes “A few stupid lines from the movie…” Um, this isn’t like a phone conversation. Every single line in a script is put there for a reason. When they referred to this tiny woman as a great warrior, the script wanted you to think that. Stop apologizing for weird people.

@Kevlardog @esjesjesj Was Achilles considered a weakling that was used as a sacrifice to help the real soldiers? Sinon has nothing to do with Achillles and is an important character to the overall plot. You either didn’t see the movie or you are a huge moron.

@konglivesagain @esjesjesj I did see it. She's playing a weird amalgamation of a non canon character and Achilles. The Hades scene is very clearly taking the place of the Achilles scene from the Poem. It's a terrible decision. But that was clear.

@esjesjesj She did play Achilles. Her scene is literally what Achilles does when he appears in the poem. He just switched the name because he knew it was fucking retarded.

Ellen Page’s character 100% represents Achilles, they simply swapped out the name. Her character is referenced as the strongest warrior ever known, and just like Odysseus speaks with the ghost of Achilles in the original text, in the film he instead speaks with the ghost of Page’s character. Turns out Evan still has no idea what the fuck he’s talking about 🍆

@pineapple121101 @airbagg3d I can go before cuties, I can go after cuties. There are tons of movies/shows that have a durastic difference between critic and viewer scores. Cuties was just a more grotesque comparison to hit home. You want me to list off other shows or movies? I can.
