I should be able to subscribe to FSD and use it in any of my Teslas. Basically, it should be tied to my Tesla account. So if I rent a Tesla on Turo, or a Tesla with Hertz, or I borrow a friend’s Tesla, then I should have access to FSD without having to subscribe again. This only makes sense now that FSD has moved to subscription only.

As someone who has a child born via a GC, and hopes to have another…the whole process feels like it is from the 1990s: it seems high touch due to incompetence.

My biggest goal for 2026 is intentionality. I’m taking at least a month away from anything that tries to addict me whether process foods or social media. At some point might add some of those things back. You can always reach me first at last point com

There should be per minute fines for ride share operators who post misleading pick-up times. I pay for a “priority” nine minute pick up that goes to 30 on one platform, cancel and book on the other platform and a five minute pick up goes to 25 and is twice the price. Gouging!

@AlaskaAir I don’t mean to be the grammar police, but in this advertisement on the Lyft app would it not be more correct to say the top airline rewards program versus the top airlines reward program? And also…pretty sure it is the top travel loyalty program if you want to be accurate.

I pay $795/year for a @Chase Sapphire Reserve card and they won’t let us into the half empty Sapphire Lounge at BOS earlier than 3 hours before our flight (6 hour unplanned layover) for no reasons other than “thems the rules, sorry.” Finally a great reason to cancel.

I'm so disappointed in being a member of @MarriottBonvoy . I have been a Titanium level for a few years, but the overall value is so diluted at this point that I'm turning my attention and travel to Hyatt and other brands I've probably had over 10-15 nightly award upgrades expire in the past couple of years because, lo and behold, no matter where I travel in this whole wide world, they just can't seem to find me an upgraded room. So they return my credits to my account, most recently on December 26th 2025, just before they expire for the year. In addition, the point value has fallen significantly. Redemption of points in the US is particularly bad. If there is no loyalty to a Bonvoy member, there is no brand loyalty to @MarriottIntl

Reno is next to Tahoe, world class skiing, truly purple with few ideologues, less than a 45m flight from SF, no income tax, already HQ for a bunch of CA companies, gorgeous and way more livable than Vegas. Restaurants admittedly meh. Wonder if there will be a Pac Heights pipeline with the threat of a billionaires tax…

My wife found my annotations to @SouthwestAir map made back in the 1990s. Kinda funny to see how the business has evolved (e.g. Denver) and that I thought they’d enter Canada vs Mexico. One of my favorite parts of flying remains dreaming about dots lines and destinations!

As a new father, reassessing how I nourish my body, mind & soul. Periodically I like to do an elimination reset, and then decide what to add back. Previously I've given up meat or the news...but this time I'll keep protein and podcasts in my life. Next month I'll visit Reno/Tahoe, Hawaii and San Francisco. HMU if you want to go for a walk or share an herbal tea.

Hey @AlaskaAir, I tried to use my wifi voucher from my Summit card on my flight just now and it refused to recognize me the entire flight. I had planned to use it today since it expires 12/31. How can this be remedied? Why did it occur? I have screen shots.

@varunram It’s actually because there used to be a power plant there, and an underwater power line was built to replace it from the east bay.

A little known fact about Dogpatch is Dogpatch never has power shutdowns even when all of SF is out because of the underground nuclear reactor at YC. Yet another YC win
