My brand new English commercial demo just got done - produced by the wonderful @Apesauce1, recorded in my professional home studio. Give it a listen to get an idea for how I fit into your next project. Want to collaborate? Reach out via kristina-rothe.com! :) #voiceover

So… @REI… i noticed your men’s outdoor pants come with waist & in-seam sizing (but only even numbers), whereas the women’s ones don’t get waist or length - just the 8/10/12… without any in-seam difference except for getting an inch shorter every year. Tall women hike too 😅

@Taaaaamas I’m glad they clarify that the inactivity is based on logins - because based on this screenshot here I might have started to schedule weekly or fortnightly posts that only contain “.”

@manthanucci @giladrom @ibogost I worked in Sweden for a while and have/had friends there - didn’t experience it. In general I think it’s less about the country you’re in and more about who you work for and how they decided to set up their perks & benefits :)

@KnihovnaGB @giladrom @ibogost That sounds really neat :) Some US companies have chefs and provide free lunches for their employees, too - it’s just not the majority of them, in the grand scheme of things.

@kris_rothe @giladrom @ibogost In the mid1990s, I lived in Moscow and worked for an American company. Most of the 20-30 employees in the office were expats too. The office paid a local woman to bring homemade lunch every day. It was SO GOOD! Now I live in the US and buy my lunch for $11-20 every day

@_esaliba @giladrom @ibogost The thing is - there are companies in many countries offering food as part of their benefits. But usually it’s something the *company* offers to compete with other potential employers, it’s an added benefit. Usually not a country wide standard.

@ibogost @corhocysen Liquid food. As in, meal shakes. Like soylent, huel and the likes. They even have additive powders so you can make it taste like something else every day. It’s the dream. …. Yeah.

@USPS i appreciate you taking my package on a scenic tour through the US, from Portland, OR all the way to Indiana and Illinois (so far) only to arrive, hopefully, in the Seattle, WA area. It’s kinda fun watching the steps. I just wish I could get the road trip photos with it 😁

@esankiy This is really impressive! I’m curious to see the balance of environment scale / map size, quality and performance in the finished product - how much is possible, what trade-offs you might have to make etc. I am really really amazed at what you and the team have put together!

@blacksheep_127 @Susannah_Nix I’m not sure if you saw the video - i did and all it was was talk about a few words she didn’t particularly love. And those weren’t outlandish, either. I could see how it might affect you if those are your favorite descriptors/terms, but there was no tearing down per se.

@Susannah_Nix How horrible. If you don’t like the book, don’t narrate it. And don’t tear the author down! Geez…

Imagine being an actor/audiobook narrator who's paid thousands of $$$ to narrate an author's book and then going on TikTok to mock the writing. This woman has no idea how many bridges she's burned. What writer would ever want to hire her after hearing that?

After putting it off for several years, I've finally begun work on developing my new 196-hour online test: "Are You a Chronic Procrastinator?" Get in touch if you'd like to be put on the waiting list. No rush.

@PageSix She's driving a car. Don't you all focus on the road and traffic around you while driving? I have pretty much the same expression behind the wheel, unless I'm playing car karaoke. :D

A mystical wizard themed bar in Seattle closed this week after being highly anticipated for three years. “Oh no! That sounds cool!” You might say… The following insights from past employees and patrons Reddit on what actually happened are a masterpiece of foolery ⬇️
