@avenge_p @ElectionsCan_E You could maybe pierce the veil down to the polling box but if the ballot and receipt have matching serials (or cryptographic hashes) and those are only present on the ballot and tear off receipt then only the caster should be able to validate an image showing their ballot.

@ElectionsCan_E It also prevents you from recording your ballot and auditing how it was counted. It's long time for ballots to be serial numbered and receipts issued so that you can validate your vote was counted the way it was cast post election.

@DJ_Reticuli @ryangerritsen Well, it does shows us the main sound that is playing and the interpreter is just rocking to it. There is also context to take in, if it’s a serious message, the interpreter is usually still but sometimes add a bit more theatrical element.

O.k., but their performance visually on screen is not neutral. How does the air guitar help portray emotion more accurately than watching the actual band play their actual instruments and dance around on stage with captions? Is the air guitar stuff just some kind of involuntary thing the signer is doing because he's enjoying the performance and you're just accepting it as extraneous aspect for the rest of his 'emotional content' of the signing gestures?

@jrcook @ryangerritsen Are you kidding me? For the deaf, a interpreter is one of their most precious resources. How can you fit a whole song in 42 characters on the screen and it’s not always live. A interpreter is much more direct since it can actually interpret the words in real-time.

@ryangerritsen These on screen interpreters are one of the worst wastes of resources I have ever seen. This is literally what subtitles are for... It is also a huge distraction, and degrades the experience for everyone else.
