@emollick Ethan, Bing also failed the test everytime when I prompted it on all three settings. Even when I pointed out the errors it couldn't fix it. Only when I told Bing to research poetry did it pass.

Around the September quarter this year, there will be the cross over of wages & inflation - wages growth will be above 4%, inflation below 4%. In 2024, wages growth will hover around 3.5% to 4%, with inflation 2.25 to 2.75% which will lock in real wage gains.

Pretty clear RBA has been spooked by house price collapse, which is only going to get worse

@IFM_Economist Why is that a 'downside'? A decline in dwelling prices will remove the wealth effect and reduce aggregate demand. That will support the policy intent of the rate rises.

The #RBA will clearly be raising interest rates again in August buoyed by record low unemployment and likely inflation that is at or near a high for the inflation targeting period. On the downside this all but ensures further dwelling price declines.

@AvidCommentator @ASX1500 Wouldn't it be better to raise the required revenues from a less regressive tax ie by expanding/increasing GST? Australia already has the 2nd highest rate of income tax in the OECD. He committed to it as well, if he reneges the Coalition will run on it at the next election.

@ASX1500 They really should. The type of action they want on climate change is not going to come cheap, in fact it may require significant tax increases on their respective electorates.

If the independents supported abandoning the tax cuts would make his life easier. They represent the people it affects so will be interesting.
