This is insane. This is at least the 6th Hoosier killed by an illegal immigrant on Indiana roads since November. Meanwhile, Democrats are talking about cutting funding to ICE. It’s outrageous. We must deport them all now and get them off our roads!
Fox News@FoxNews

NEW: DHS confirms to FOX News that a semi-truck driver arrested in Jay County, Indiana, for allegedly causing a head-on crash that killed 4 people is a Kyrgyzstani national who entered the U.S. under the Biden administration. 30-year-old Bekzhan Beishekeev is now in ICE custody.

@EricLDaugh Of course he moved the goalposts. The Holy Father's concerns are less about protecting our borders or managing immigration, than about the use of cruel, stupid, deadly, and criminal tactics against citizens and innocent people under the pretense of managing immigration.

@EdWhelanEPPC @HarmeetKDhillon Legal and financial aid to ensure low income people access to fair representation wasn’t a partisan or even controversial issue (at least pre-MAGA). Mr Whelan will certainly recognize this conservative jurist speaking at a celebration of a legal aid organization. Do you?

@greg_price11 These people were not killed by the government, which is a material difference. "{V]iolence perpetrated by the state, using its structures and power, is not on the same level as that perpetrated by particular groups.” (Pope Francis - "Fratelli Tutti").

An armed man trying to impede a lawful arrest is a recipe for disaster. I expect law enforcement officers to use good judgement. But not to foolishly risk their lives or the lives of others. As to the recent tragic shooting in Minnesota where Border Patrol agents used deadly force against an armed protestor trying to impede a lawful arrest, it is a direct result of the heated rhetoric and over the top reaction toward ICE —who are simply trying to enforce the law in sanctuary cities. You have every right to protest and you have every right to disagree with President Trump. No one has the right to impede law enforcement officers carrying out their duties. If you go to such events with a loaded gun, bad things can happen. The facts will be fully investigated, but for me having been a defense attorney and prosecutor who’s been around law enforcement officers, you have to understand the extreme pressure that Border Patrol and ICE agents are under in sanctuary cities. These cities have willfully ignored federal law, creating massive fraud of benefits, a constant magnet for illegal immigration and a breakdown of law and order. I will be introducing legislation to end sanctuary state and city polices once and for all because they rip off the taxpayer and cause extreme danger for those trying to clean up the mess in these liberal cities.

NO MORE MERCY, PERIOD. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. They who disturb the peace with their whistles and screaming, they who interfere with Law Enforcement, and they who resist arrest. NO MORE MERCY. PERIOD. HOW MANY TIMES do we have to say it before these criminal insurrectionists get what they ask for??? Will it take a brass knuckle to stop they who disturb the peace? Everyone who interferes with Law Enforcement should be crushed in the arrest and thrown in the Gulag. They are criminals and it is time to start treating them as such. BACK THE BLUE. NO MORE MERCY.

I'm very grateful to President Trump for his declaration of religious liberty day. More than any other president in my lifetime, Trump has recognized the central importance of our “first freedom.” He understands that when religious liberty is threatened, all of our other freedoms are endangered. It has been an honor to serve on the President's Religious Liberty Commission, whose entire purpose is to propose ways in which this most precious of our freedoms might be defended and enhanced.

@BishopBarron First off, were you aware the corruption in Minnesota was under investigation already (before it got hijacked for partisan soundbites)? Second, could you apply this Catholic social teaching to the federal government also?

Bishop Robert Barron@BishopBarron·
As we wrestle in my home state of Minnesota with the fact of deep corruption in the political and economic orders, I want to draw attention to the “social justice” dimension of this problem. Catholic social teaching has a good deal to say about official corruption, insisting that it undermines confidence in our leaders, compromises the integrity of the institutions of government, and subverts the rule of law. But even more importantly, it deeply harms the poor, stealing resources from them, increasing inequality, and blocking essential services such as health and education. And if the widespread fraud in Minnesota is also present in a number of other states, we are dealing with a massive violation of human rights and a heinous attack upon the poor and needy. This should not be a matter of partisan politics. Rather, wherever this corruption exists, it should be fought and those responsible for it brought to justice.
